Job description

Senior Client Advocacy and References Manager

Intapp serves professional firms across highly regulated industries, and client relationships are among our most valuable assets. As Senior Client Advocacy and References Manager, you will build brand authority and drive pipeline by creating, maintaining, and scaling the advocacy infrastructure that lets Intapp engage those relationships consistently, serving both the client and the business.

You will own the enterprise client reference program and the broader advocacy program that sustains it. The reference program is the core: a structured, operational capability that gives sales, marketing, and other teams access to the right client voices at the right time, without overburdening individual advocates. The advocacy program is the infrastructure behind it, including the operating model, advocate population, participation standards, platform, and reporting that allow the broader organization to participate effectively.

What you will do

As a Senior Client Advocacy and References Manager, you can expect to:

  • Own and maintain the operating model for Intapp's enterprise client advocacy program, including intake processes, participation criteria, and program governance.
  • Establish and enforce standards for how client advocates are identified, onboarded, engaged, and recognized across the organization.
  • Serve as the primary coordination point for advocacy across the business, and drive internal adoption of program processes so the broader organization participates effectively.
  • Lead the rollout and ongoing management of the advocacy platform that will serve as the system of record for reference fulfillment and advocate engagement, including configuration, user enablement, and adoption.
  • Create and oversee processes that enable reference fulfillment for sales, analyst relations, and other teams requiring client validation, matching requests to the right advocates efficiently and without overburdening individual clients.
  • Develop and grow the advocate population by creating automations to identify advocates and working with client success and account teams, using signals such as NPS and CSAT data, to find clients who are positioned and willing to participate. Monitor participation levels and engagement patterns to identify gaps and keep the advocate pool healthy, balanced, and representative of Intapp's client base.
  • Partner cross-functionally with the events, marketing, and sales teams to identify and feature client speakers and voice at Intapp-hosted events and industry conferences.
  • Own program reporting, including advocate pipeline, coverage gaps, reference activity, fulfillment rates, and client participation metrics. Track program health indicators over time and give leadership a clear, honest view of program performance.
  • Identify opportunities to improve the program, including process efficiency, advocate experience, and organizational enablement, and drive those improvements to completion.

What you will need

Intapp is looking for intellectually curious, self-motivated professionals who like to get hands-on to contribute to the overall success of the business and their team. To apply for this Senior Client Advocacy and References Manager role, you will ideally have:

  • 5-7 years of experience, including a demonstrated ability to build and manage program infrastructure: intake processes, reference tracking systems, participation frameworks, and reporting cadences.
  • Experience working across go-to-market functions (sales, customer success, and marketing) and coordinating shared workflows in a matrixed organization, plus familiarity with reference management platforms or CRM-based tracking tools.
  • Strong program management instincts: you can see where a process is breaking down, design a fix, and get others to adopt it.
  • A collaborative approach that builds trust with client-facing teams and influences without direct authority, with the ability to work across all levels of the organization, including senior leadership, and exercise influence diplomatically to drive alignment.
  • Clear written and verbal communication: you can explain program value to a skeptical sales rep and to a senior leader in the same week.
  • An organized, systematic approach: you track what matters, follow through reliably, and don't let details fall through the cracks.
  • Comfort with ambiguity and the ability to build structure in an environment that doesn't yet have it.
  • Experience in highly regulated industries or professional services markets is a plus.

How we will measure success

  • Advocate pipeline health: a growing, balanced population of client advocates that represents the breadth of Intapp's enterprise client base.
  • Reference fulfillment: on-time, well-matched reference delivery for sales and other internal stakeholders, with low cycle times and minimal advocate fatigue.
  • Internal adoption: measurable participation from customer success, sales, and other functions in program processes, rather than a bottleneck owned by one person.
  • Program reporting: a clear, consistent reporting cadence that gives leadership visibility into program activity, participation trends, impact, and outcomes.

What you will gain

At Intapp, you'll get the opportunity to bring your talents and intellectual curiosity to create better outcomes for our people and our clients. You'll be part of a growing public company, with a modern work environment that's connected yet flexible and where your professional growth and well-being are top priorities. We'll collaborate and grow together, supporting each other in a positive, open atmosphere that fosters creativity, innovation, and teamwork.

Here, you will have the opportunity to:
