The Role

Addepar's Private Fund Look-Through (PFLT) offering gives clients deep visibility into the underlying holdings of their private fund investments by extracting holding-level data directly from GP financial statements—primarily the Schedule of Investments (SOI). This white-glove solution combines proprietary AI/ML extraction technology with human-in-the-loop review to ensure maximum accuracy and full portfolio transparency.

As part of the broader Addepar Data organization, the PFLT Data Operations Team Lead is responsible for managing a team of Analysts and Senior Analysts focused on reviewing, validating, and enriching complex fund holding data within target SLAs. This role acts as a domain subject matter expert, overseeing exception resolution, pipeline monitoring (Databricks, Retool, Monday.com), and data entity mapping. You will play a pivotal role in driving team performance metrics, leading ML model retraining initiatives, and collaborating across Product, Engineering, ML Operations, and Client Success teams.

Applicants must have legal authorization to work in the country where this role is based on the first day of employment. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.

What You'll Do

  • Lead and manage a team of PFLT Analysts & Senior Analysts, driving effective work allocation, daily queue management (Monday.com), and SLA compliance across peak quarter-end processing periods.
  • Track and drive key team performance metrics, including SLA compliance, processing accuracy, and throughput.
  • Support operational workflows, playbooks, and standard operating procedures (SOPs) for private fund Look-through processing.
  • Identify opportunities for process optimization, standardization, and automation across the pipeline.
  • Act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) supporting the team on complex Schedule of Investments (SOI) processing, special asset classes (e.g., crypto/token assets, real estate), and intricate fund accounting mechanics (e.g., PQ reconciliation, derived metric calculations, corporate actions).
  • Guide and oversee the team in troubleshooting complex extraction errors across pipeline stages and front-end verification checks.
  • Perform quality control reviews and high-level audits to assist the team in correcting improperly extracted or mapped holdings data.
  • Serve as the primary escalation point for data quality discrepancies, pipeline failures, and complex mapping issues (SOAP UI, GSM Search, PitchBook).
  • Partner with Product, Engineering, and AIP teams to enhance operational efficiency by identifying extraction errors, curating edge-case datasets for AI model retraining, and refining pipeline tooling and UI (Retool/Databricks).
  • Engage directly with clients, GPs, and Fund Administrators to resolve technical data inquiries, document discrepancies, and reporting edge cases.
