Within Danaher Diagnostics, one of Danaher’s three global segments, our work saves lives—and we’re all united by a shared commitment to innovate for tangible impact. You’ll thrive in a culture where your unique perspective matters and where ideas turn into action through the power of the Danaher Business System (DBS).

The Senior Medical Director, High Growth Markets (HGM) serves as the anchor medical leader and primary interface between regional HGM medical teams, Danaher Diagnostics Operating Companies (OpCos), and the Chief Medical Office (Dx CMO).

This leader will drive medical strategy alignment, scientific governance, and executional excellence across Singapore, Malaysia, and coordinated countries within the High Growth Market cluster—including India, Southeast Asia, and Saudi Arabia. The Senior Medical Director is also accountable for leading the local OpCo medical strategy and representing Danaher Diagnostic businesses at the regional level, ensuring unified medical direction, collaboration, and impact across the OpCo product portfolio.

This pivotal role ensures that Danaher’s diagnostic innovations are clinically credible, scientifically differentiated, and strategically aligned with both global priorities and local market realities.

The Senior Medical Director, High Growth Markets reports to the Chief Medical Officer, Danaher Diagnostics, with a dotted-line collaboration to the Vice President, Diagnostics Platform Strategic Markets. The role works in close partnership with regional Danaher business leaders, Operating Company (OpCo) teams, and cross-functional partners across Medical Affairs, Commercial, Regulatory, and Compliance to ensure strategic alignment and execution excellence across the region.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Lead High Growth Markets Medical Strategy: Develop, execute, and integrate the High Growth Markets medical strategy—aligned with Dx CMO and OpCo priorities—while leading the in-field medical strategy and execution in Singapore and Malaysia to ensure scientific differentiation, clinical relevance, and market impact.
  • Represent Danaher Diagnostics and its Operating Companies: Serve as the senior medical representative for Danaher’s Diagnostics businesses within High Growth Markets, ensuring local needs, scientific insights, and clinical data inform platform and global medical strategies.
  • Provide Scientific Governance and Oversight: Establish and maintain governance frameworks to ensure medical integrity, compliance, and consistent application of Good Medical Practice across High Growth Markets and country medical teams in particular.
  • Coordinate and Lead Medical Execution: Lead collaboration across High Growth Market medical leaders and OpCo teams to harmonize strategies, share insights, and execute regional medical programs that drive product launches, evidence generation, and clinical adoption.
  • Advance External Scientific Leadership: Represent Danaher’s Diagnostics businesses in scientific and policy forums, building trusted relationships with key opinion leaders (KOLs), health networks, and academic partners to enhance scientific collaboration and thought leadership.
  • Enable Evidence Generation and Adoption: Partner with OpCo, disease franchise and regional teams to design and implement integrated medical and evidence plans supporting launch excellence and clinical adoption.
  • Develop and Mentor Regional MedSci Teams: Build and sustain a high-performing regional medical team, promoting collaboration, capability building, and knowledge sharing across the HGM MedSci community.

The essential requirements of the job include:

  • Education: Advanced degree (MD, PhD, or PharmD) in Life Sciences, Medicine, or related discipline.
  • Experience: 15+ years of experience in medical affairs, clinical development, or scientific leadership in diagnostics, life sciences, pharma or medical devices, with substantial exposure to emerging/high-growth markets.
  • Strategic Leadership: Proven success developing and executing medical strategies that align scientific evidence, clinical impact, and commercial objectives—across both regional and OpCo levels.
  • Governance and Compliance: Deep understanding of global and regional medical governance frameworks, GxP principles, and ethical engagement standards.
  • Executional Excellence: Demonstrated ability to operationalize complex, multi-country medical programs and deliver measurable scientific and business outcomes.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Exceptional communication, influencing, and stakeholder management abilities, with success in leading matrixed, multicultural teams and representing multiple OpCos or business units.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience within diagnostics, life sciences, pharma or medical devices in Asia-Pacific, Middle East, or other high-growth regions.
  • Experience leading or representing multiple Operating Companies within a platform model.
