Technical Product Developer (ERP / Accounting Software Domain Exp. Req.) REMOTE Description

Our client, a managed services provider (MSP), is looking for a Technical Product Developer to add to their remote team in Canada. In this role, you will own software features from concept through delivery by understanding customer needs, designing solutions, writing and testing code, deploying enhancements, and supporting production systems. During the initial ramp-up period, you will learn and support the legacy ERP platform while addressing customer needs before transitioning into modernization initiatives focused on delivering new features using AI-driven development workflows. The ideal candidate has recent experience developing ERP, finance, or accounting software, including related business processes and workflows such as GL, AP/AR, billing, reporting, inventory, purchasing, or order processing. The successful candidate will combine this domain knowledge with strong software engineering skills and product-focused thinking. This is a great opportunity to play a key role in modernizing mission-critical software while helping shape an AI-first engineering organization.

Technical Product Developer (ERP / Accounting Software Domain Exp. Req.) REMOTE Responsibilities

•    Own product features from concept through deployment and ongoing production support
•    Collaborate with customers & cross-functional teams to develop ERP and financial software solutions
•    Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain scalable cloud-native and legacy ERP applications
•    Learn, support, and modernize the legacy ERP platform through refactoring and new functionality
•    Apply ERP, finance, and accounting domain knowledge when designing features and business logic
•    Utilize AI tools daily to accelerate software development, testing, and modernization efforts
•    Support build, deployment, release, and upgrade processes for legacy and modern platforms
•    Investigate, troubleshoot, and resolve customer issues within production environments
•    Participate in code reviews, testing, and continuous improvement initiatives
•    Collaborate with teammates to deliver intuitive, reliable, and scalable software solutions

Technical Product Developer (ERP / Accounting Software Domain Exp. Req.) REMOTE Qualifications

•    5+ years of software engineering and/or product engineering experience is required
•    Recent ERP, finance, or accounting software development & related domain knowledge are required
•    Cloud-native application development experience is required 
•    Strong back-end development in a mainstream language is required; C#/.NET preferred
•    Experience using AI tools daily to support software engineering and testing is required
•    Hands-on experience with SQL and relational databases is required
•    Interest in legacy software maintenance and modernization is required
