Shake Shack

Quick Service Restaurants (QSR) & Fast Casual

Shake Shack sprouted from a hot dog cart in Madison Square Park (NYC) to support the Madison Square Park Conservancy’s first art installation. The cart was quite the success, with Shack fans lined up daily for three summers. In 2004, a permanent kiosk opened in the park: Shake Shack was born. This modern day “roadside” burger stand serves up the most delicious burgers, hot dogs, frozen custard, shakes, beer, wine and more. An instant neighborhood fixture, we welcomed people from all over the city, country and world who gathered together to enjoy fresh, simple, high-quality versions of the classics. The rest, as they say, is burger history. And since day one, it would not have been possible without our stellar team! As a member of the #ShackFam, you can expect an exciting work atmosphere with a culture focused on family, fun and community. We’re committed to providing equal opportunities for success, removing obstacles and fostering a culture of diversity, inclusion and empowerment to ensure that Shake Shack continues to be a great place to work. That’s why we’re so proud to have earned 100% on Human Right Campaign’s 2019 Corporate Equality Index for LGBTQ-inclusive workplace policies and practices, a designation that highlights the core of our ethos here at Shake Shack. Job Summary

Reporting to the VP of Brand Marketing, this role leads the strategic development and creative execution of integrated brand and product campaigns. The Senior Manager turns business goals, guest insight, and brand strategy into sharp, inspiring briefs; guides agency and internal creative teams from idea through final production/execution; and ensures every campaign is expressed cohesively cross-functionally, across paid media, social, hospitality, merchandising, culinary, and other guest touchpoints.

What You’ll Own

Campaign strategy and briefing: Translate business priorities, audience insight, and brand strategy into clear campaign strategies and exceptional creative briefs with a focused problem to solve, a motivating idea, and actionable channel guidance.

Creative and agency leadership: Lead external agency partners and internal creative teams through briefing, work sessions, reviews, feedback, and decision-making. Raise the strategic and creative bar while keeping teams focused on the core campaign idea.

Integrated campaign orchestration: Unify paid media, social, hospitality, merchandising, culinary, PR, growth, regional, and other partners around one campaign strategy. Clarify how the idea should flex by channel without losing its meaning or distinctiveness.

Asset delivery and media readiness: Own the end-to-end creative workstream, from the integrated asset plan and production calendar through approvals, quality control, trafficking readiness, and on-time delivery of final assets and specifications to media partners.

Brand stewardship: Apply and protect Shake Shack’s brand positioning and standards across campaign ideas, partnerships, and creative outputs, ensuring the work is recognizable, relevant, and consistent.

Performance learning
: Partner with media, growth, research, and analytics teams to define success measures, review campaign performance, and turn results into clear implications for future briefs and creative development.

Budget Management: Working to process POs, Invoice and set-up vendors within Workday

How You’ll Work

  • Create alignment early by defining the campaign idea, roles, decisions, milestones, dependencies, and approval path before execution begins
  • Build practical, visible workflows that give internal teams, agencies, and leaders a shared view of priorities, timing, feedback, risks, and next steps
  • Anticipate roadblocks, close gaps, and move decisions forward without waiting to be asked
  • Balance strategic ambition with delivery discipline, knowing when to push the work and when to simplify to protect quality, timing, and impact
  • Communicate clearly and concisely in briefs, creative feedback, status updates, presentations, and executive discussions.
  • Operate as a collaborative integrator across teams. This role does not own the total go-to-market plan, but is accountable for ensuring the campaign idea is understood and powerfully expressed across every relevant channel and asset
  • Confident and comfortable securing cross-functional approvals from legal, operations, regional and more.

What You Bring

  • 6-8 years of experience in integrated brand marketing, campaign strategy, account management, or a closely related discipline.
  • A mix of in-house brand experience and agency experience is strongly preferred, with agency account management experience particularly valuable
  • A track record of writing strategically sharp, creatively inspiring briefs that lead to effective integrated work.
  • Experience leading creative and campaign agencies, including briefing, scope and timeline management, feedback, stakeholder alignment, and final delivery
  • Fluency in integrated campaign development and production across paid media, digital, social, experiential or hospitality, merchandising, and partner channels
  • Exceptional project leadership and operational judgment, with the ability to manage multiple complex campaigns, dependencies, and deliverables at once
  • Strong cross-functional influence and facilitation skills, including the ability to create clarity, surface tradeoffs, and bring different teams to a decision.
  • A proactive, low-ego working style with high standards, strong follow-through, and comfort operating in a fast-moving environment.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills
  • Passion for culture, food, hospitality, and building brands people want to be part of.

What Success Looks Like

Sharper starts: Every campaign begins with a brief that creates focus, inspires strong creative work, and reduces downstream ambiguity

One idea, many expressions: Cross-functional teams align around a single idea, then execute it in channel-right ways that still feel unmistakably connected

Confident delivery: Agencies and internal teams know what is needed, when decisions happen, and how assets move from concept to approved, media-ready delivery.
