Job description

Overview:

WD-40 Company's commercial channel marketing team is building something — and we're looking for the person who builds with us.

The commercial channel spans industrial and automotive. Industrial is established and growing. Automotive is newer ground for the channel team — and that part of the strategy is still being written. We're not looking for someone who already has the answer. We're looking for a thought partner who will help write it with us, who knows how to figure out what comes first, who to bring in, and how to make the case for it.

If you've built channel programs before — not inherited them, not optimized them, but actually built them — and you're energized by ambiguity rather than slowed down by it, this might be your role.

Responsibilities:
  • Partner with sales and commercial leadership to develop and execute channel marketing strategies that drive sell-in and pull-through with distributor and wholesale customers across industrial and automotive markets
  • Build co-marketing programs with distributor partners, including MDF/A&P investment planning, trade promotions, and joint business planning
  • Develop the financial rationale behind channel programs — independently modeling performance, building the case, and tracking results
  • Work across product marketing, pricing, commercial operations, and marketing communications to turn business priorities into executable channel initiatives
  • Pivot when the strategy changes — because it will, and that's part of the job
Qualifications:
  • 5–8 years of B2B channel marketing with direct ownership of distributor or wholesale relationships on the manufacturer side
  • Experience in product-based B2B distribution or wholesale channels
  • Strong financial and business acumen
  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, or related field. MBA welcomed; a strong track record is more important.
  • Up to 25% travel

Why Us, Why Now?

The channel team just had a standout year — sweeping their Americas awards with Innovator, CEO, Mentor Coach, and Sales recognition across the team. That doesn't happen by accident. It's the result of years of intentional hiring, strong leadership, and a culture where people build things together.
