Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning Services

Amperos Health is the AI-native insurance revenue recovery solution for outpatient providers. Our agentic solution recovers outstanding and denied claims across payer calls, portals, appeals, and resubmissions — escalating to your team only when needed. Customers see recovery rates up to 20% higher than traditional or manual processes, at a cost to collect up to 50% lower, within 4 weeks of onboarding. Our vision is a world where every provider has an AI-powered back office that handles insurance end-to-end — so their staff can spend less time chasing claims and more time on what healthcare is meant to be about: operating and growing their practice to serve more patients. Amperos is backed by leading investors, including Bessemer Venture Partners, Uncork Capital, Neo, and angels from OpenAI, Stripe, and more. To date, we've helped recover $700M+ in outstanding claims across 3,000 clinical locations in all 50 states. Interested in learning more? Job description

About Amperos

Amperos is healthcare's first AI-native denial management and revenue recovery platform. Our agentic AI works claims end-to-end, from portal follow-ups and payor calls to appeals and medical records, so providers can resolve more denials, recover more revenue, and focus on what matters most: serving patients.

We just closed a $16M Series A led by Bessemer Venture Partners, with continued participation from Uncork Capital and Neo. We're still small, still early, and going after a $260B+ problem that's only getting worse. If you want to work on hard problems that matter, alongside people who care deeply about the mission (and each other), we'd love to meet you.

About the Role

We are looking for a detail-oriented Charge Posting or Payment Posting Specialist with 2+ years of experience in RCM to join our team. You'll work at the intersection of traditional claim submission or payment posting workflows and cutting-edge AI, helping our customers submit claims accurately and efficiently while ensuring our automation systems perform at the highest standard.

You'll be responsible for entering charges, verifying claim accuracy, managing charge submissions to insurance companies, and tracking claims through posting and adjudication. As our product and customer base evolve, your responsibilities may shift to align with near-term priorities—this is a role with meaningful ownership and room to grow.

What you'll do

Charge Posting:

  • Post and manage charges accurately

  • Enter charges and claims into customer PM systems and Amperos platforms using clinical documentation

  • Verify coding accuracy, modifiers, and medical necessity before claim submission

  • Research bundling rules, frequency limitations, and other clinical editing logic to prevent denials

  • Identify and escalate claim errors (incorrect coding, unbundled charges, missing documentation) before submission

  • Track charge submission status and manage claim resubmissions when needed

  • Maintain organized documentation of all charge-related activity

Payment Posting:

  • Post payments, adjustments, and denials from ERAs, EOBs, and lockbox files into customer PM systems and Amperos platforms

  • Balance daily batches, reconcile to bank deposits, and resolve missing or mismatched ERAs

  • Flag underpayments and denials

  • Resolve unapplied cash, credit balances, refunds, and recoupments, and transfer balances

What we're looking for

  • At least 2 years of experience in medical billing, charge entry, or coding verification

  • Strong working knowledge of medical coding

  • Experience with leading PM systems, including eCW, ModMed, Athenahealth, and more

  • Solid understanding of insurance claim submission requirements and pre-authorization processes

  • Ability to identify coding errors and clinical editing issues before claim submission

  • Detail-oriented, organized, and reliable in documentation and follow-through

  • Ability to work US hours (9am–6pm ET) to collaborate with our team and customers

  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment where processes and priorities can change

Perks & Benefits

  • Competitive compensation with eligibility for a bonus on anniversary date

  • Paid sick days and vacation days

  • Meal stipends

  • Opportunity to grow with a rapidly scaling company and be an early member of a global billing team, as we expand our billing team in India

Our Values

  • Lead with Empathy - Great products and teams are built on empathy—whether for our customers, users, or team members. We take the time to walk in others' shoes, listen actively, and truly understand their challenges, needs, and perspectives.

  • Humbly Ambitious - We combine humility with ambition. No task is beneath us, and no challenge too big. Greatness comes from being willing to do whatever it takes, while having the courage to take bold risks and learn from failures.

  • Radical Agency - Own your domain. Drive initiatives with autonomy and accountability. Think deeply, communicate with the team, and maintain a bias for action.
