Job description

Job Type Full-time Description

As a Business Development Representative for Managed Services at Interlink, you are not just a salesperson — you are a trusted advisor, market evangelist, and pipeline strategist. You will play a mission-critical role in driving our growth obsession: expanding Monthly Recurring Revenue (MRR), acquiring net-new logos, and amplifying Interlink’s brand visibility across the Midwest and beyond.

Your ability to blend inside and outside sales efforts, build client relationships, and represent the Interlink brand with a win/win attitude will set you apart. You will be obsessed with helping organizations adopt cutting-edge managed security and technology services that fuel their success — and in turn, ours.

Responsibilities:

  • Identify and Pursue Growth Opportunities
  • Analyze market trends and competitive landscape to uncover new business opportunities.
  • Develop and execute strategies for penetrating new verticals and customer segments.
  • Maintain a healthy obsession with net new logo acquisition and expanding client base.
  • Client Engagement and Relationship Building
  • Drive meaningful conversations with prospects and clients, positioning Interlink as their trusted advisor.
  • Conduct inside and outside sales activities, including cold outreach, client visits, and event participation.
  • Represent the Interlink brand with professionalism, integrity, and a Go-Giver attitude.
  • Lead Generation and Pipeline Management
  • Proactively identify and qualify leads through networking, research, referrals, and inbound channels.
  • Own the pipeline — continuously manage, refine, and advance opportunities in CRM.
  • Product Education and Technical Sales
  • Develop a deep understanding of Interlink’s managed / co-managed IT services and Security offerings.
  • Articulate complex technical solutions clearly to non-technical decision-makers.
  • Conduct consultative sales discussions focused on value and outcomes, not just products.
  • Strategic Partnerships & Market Presence
  • Identify, pursue, and cultivate relationships with key market influencers and strategic partners.
  • Attend and represent Interlink at industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities.
  • Collaborate with marketing to drive brand visibility and thought leadership in the market.
  • Sales Execution & Reporting
  • Achieving growth targets through new client acquisition.
  • Maintain accurate sales forecasts and pipeline reporting in CRM.
  • Take full ownership of the sales process — from first contact through signed agreement and handoff.
Requirements
  • Proven success in business development, sales, or advisory roles — preferably in cybersecurity, IT services, or managed services.
  • Obsession with driving revenue growth and acquiring new clients.
  • Strong consultative selling, communication, and relationship-building skills.
  • Experience managing and optimizing a complex sales pipeline.
  • Technical and business acumen and ability to simplify and sell technical solutions that help businesses thrive.
  • Proficiency with CRM tools (HubSpot, D365, or equivalent).
  • Bachelor's degree
