Job description

About Melita

Melita is an HR, Benefits, and Payroll outsourcing company, serving and building lasting relationships with small and mid-sized employers in the U.S. and abroad. We were founded over 30 years ago on a simple principle: to help our clients succeed by innovating, serving, and supporting their Human Resources, Employee Benefits, and Payroll needs. As a results-driven organization, we hold ourselves accountable for our promises and we celebrate the successes of our clients. We live by a set of shared values that drive everything we do, and we are known for our high-integrity approach to building relationships with our clients and partners.

Position Summary

The Payroll Tax Analyst is Melita's subject-matter expert on payroll tax across a growing, multi-client payroll operation. You own the accuracy and compliance of federal, state, and local payroll withholding and unemployment taxes for our clients, from registering new tax accounts, to auditing and reconciling tax records with the various payroll vendors (ADP, Paylocity and Rippling), to resolving agency notices and filing amendments.

This is an important role for a detail-driven professional who loves payroll, enjoys working with numbers, and takes pride in getting every filing exactly right. If you are a strong performer who wants real ownership of the payroll tax function, this position and Melita may be a great fit for you.
