  • Deliver and/or assess PSP40616 Certificate IV in Procurement and Contracting, PSP50616 Diploma of Procurement and Contracting and PSP60616 Advanced Diploma of Procurement and Contracting.
  • Prepare and maintain training plans, lesson plans, learning resources, assessment tools and training materials.
  • Monitor student attendance, progress and assessment outcomes, providing constructive feedback and managing reassessment activities where required.
  • Participate in validation, moderation and continuous improvement activities to ensure compliance and quality outcomes.

Job description

About This Opportunity 

UQ Skills is seeking a collaborative, purposeful and industry-connected Trainer and Assessor to support the delivery and assessment of nationally recognised procurement and contracting qualifications. Working within a supportive and inclusive Registered Training Organisation, you will play a key role in developing capability across government and industry learners while contributing to UQ’s vision of creating meaningful change through high-quality vocational education. Drawing on your expertise, you will help learners build practical skills and confidence while supporting continuous improvement across training and assessment practices.

Key responsibilities will include, but not limited to: 

  • Deliver and/or assess PSP40616 Certificate IV in Procurement and Contracting, PSP50616 Diploma of Procurement and Contracting and PSP60616 Advanced Diploma of Procurement and Contracting.
  • Prepare and maintain training plans, lesson plans, learning resources, assessment tools and training materials.
  • Monitor student attendance, progress and assessment outcomes, providing constructive feedback and managing reassessment activities where required.
  • Participate in validation, moderation and continuous improvement activities to ensure compliance and quality outcomes.
  • Complete student administration and record management activities, including use of aXcelerate and associated systems.

About You

  • Industry qualifications in procurement and contracting at least one level higher than the qualification you train and assess in, or equivalent extensive industry experience and qualifications.
  • Certificate IV in Training and Assessment TAE40116, or TAE40110 with the required upgrades including TAELLN411 and TAEASS502, or higher qualifications in adult and vocational education.
  • Recent and relevant industry and vocational education and training experience.
  • Knowledge of ASQA standards and demonstrated ability to apply quality training, assessment and mapping practices.
  • Understanding of the Principles of Assessment and Rules of Evidence.
  • Experience using Learning Management Systems and Student Management Systems.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, organisational capability and attention to detail.
  • Ability to motivate learners and present engaging, practical and meaningful training content.
