Job description

This is a remote position.

As a Sales Specialist at Shapely, you will be the first voice many prospective patients hear. You will guide interested leads through understanding our program, address their questions about eligibility and cost, and convert their interest into a scheduled appointment. Your primary responsibilities will include:


1. Outbound Lead Engagement

  • Calling and following up with prospective patients who have expressed interest in Shapely.

  • Educating prospective patients on our program, physician-led model, and how GLP-1/GIP weight loss medications work.

  • Explaining insurance eligibility basics and general coverage considerations for weight loss medications to set accurate expectations.

  • Guiding leads through enrollment and scheduling their initial appointment.

2. Pipeline & Conversion Management

  • Managing a pipeline of leads in the CRM, tracking follow-ups and conversion status.

  • Meeting or exceeding targets for outbound calls, conversions, and scheduled appointments.

  • Following up with warm leads who have not yet enrolled to re-engage and answer outstanding questions.

3. Cross-Team Coordination

  • Partnering with the Prior Authorization and Concierge teams to ensure a smooth handoff once a patient enrolls.

  • Relaying common objections, questions, or friction points to leadership to help refine messaging and process.



Requirements

  • Previous experience in a sales, telesales, or outbound call role, with a track record of meeting conversion targets.

  • Comfortable educating prospects on insurance eligibility and medication coverage basics.

  • Persuasive, consultative communication style that builds trust quickly over the phone.

  • Resilient and self-motivated when working through a high-volume outbound pipeline.

  • Previous experience in a similar role, preferably in a healthcare or telehealth environment.

  • Technologically proficient. We will train you on software including Zoom Phone and our CRM platform, as well as our EHR.

  • Friendly and approachable with exceptional customer service skills.

  • Quick learner, able to grasp the nuances of our business to be successful in the role.

  • Knowledge of HIPAA, PHI, and patient privacy (training also provided).

  • Exceptional command of English, written and verbal.

  • Exceptional communication skills and the ability to empathetically engage with patients.

  • Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.

  • Great team player

  • Ability to work in the Los Angeles time zone.

Operation Hours ( Pacific Standard Time ) 

  • Monday to Sunday, 4 shifts ( 6 am - 3 pm, 7 am - 4 pm, 8 am - 5 pm, 9 am - 6pm)

  • Saturday ( 8 am - 5 pm)  (2 rotating assigned Coordinators)

* You are expected to work 40 hours/ week with an occasional Saturday shift.
