Job description

Who are we?

At Finastra, we’re a global leader in financial services software, dedicated to expanding access to financial services and shaping what’s next for the industry. Our technology powers mission‑critical solutions across Lending, Payments and Universal Banking, supporting over 7,000 customers, including 80% of the world’s top 50 banks, in more than 110 countries.

What will you contribute?

We are seeking an experienced, highly motivated Senior Sales Executive to drive new-logo growth for our Supply Chain Finance solution. This is a pure hunter role responsible for identifying, developing, and closing new enterprise customers across financial institutions and large corporate organizations.

The successful candidate will understand the intersection of working capital, trade finance, supply chain finance, payments, and enterprise technology and will be comfortable engaging senior executives across Treasury, Transaction Banking, Trade Finance, Working Capital, Operations, Technology, and Procurement.

This individual will own the full sales cycle, from market development and executive prospecting through solution positioning, commercial negotiation, and contract execution.

Responsibilities & Deliverables:

New Logo Acquisition

  • Own a defined territory and revenue target focused primarily on acquiring new customers.
  • Develop and execute account strategies for high-value target institutions and corporations.
  • Generate pipeline through proactive prospecting, executive networking, industry events, partners, and targeted campaigns.
  • Build relationships with senior decision-makers, including heads of Transaction Banking, Trade Finance, Working Capital, Treasury, Operations, Procurement, and Technology.
  • Create opportunities rather than relying primarily on inbound leads.

Consultative Solution Selling

  • Translate customer working-capital and supply-chain challenges into compelling business cases.
  • Position solutions around topics such as supplier finance, buyer-led programs, receivables finance, liquidity optimization, working-capital efficiency, and digitization.
  • Lead discovery sessions involving business, operations, technology, risk, and executive stakeholders.
  • Articulate differentiated business value against competing platforms, internal development, and the status quo.
  • Coordinate solution consultants, product specialists, professional services, and executives throughout complex pursuits.

Deal Leadership

  • Manage complex enterprise opportunities from qualification through contract signature.
  • Develop compelling value propositions and executive-level presentations.
  • Navigate procurement, legal, information security, technology, and commercial approval processes.
  • Build and maintain opportunity strategies, competitive assessments, stakeholder maps, and close plans.
  • Negotiate commercial terms while protecting strategic and financial objectives.
  • Maintain disciplined pipeline management and forecast accuracy.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • Proven experience in enterprise technology, fintech, transaction banking, trade finance, or working-capital solution sales experience.
  • Demonstrated track record of winning net-new logos, not simply expanding established accounts.
  • Experience selling complex, mission-critical technology solutions with multiple stakeholders and extended sales cycles.
  • Strong background selling to banks, financial institutions, multinational corporations, or large enterprises.
  • Experience with supply chain finance, trade finance, receivables finance, or working-capital solutions such as Demica, Surecomp, Kyriba, PrimeRevenue , CGI or similar strongly preferred.

Commercial Skills

  • Proven ability to originate opportunities independently.
  • Strong executive presence and ability to sell at the C-suite and business-line leadership level.
  • Excellent discovery, negotiation, presentation, and value-selling capabilities.
  • Ability to develop financially compelling business cases rather than relying solely on product demonstrations.
  • Disciplined approach to qualification, pipeline development, forecasting, and closing.

Personal Characteristics

  • Hunter mentality: energized by opening doors and creating new relationships.
  • Persistent and comfortable operating without an established customer relationship.
  • Commercially curious and capable of quickly understanding a prospect's business model.
  • Comfortable orchestrating large internal and customer-facing teams.
  • Credible discussing both business outcomes and technology with senior stakeholders.

What Success Looks Like:

The successful candidate will:

  • Consistently build qualified new-logo pipeline.
  • Establish relationships with executives in strategic target accounts.
  • Convert prospects into active evaluations and strategic opportunities.
  • Create measurable urgency around modernization and working-capital transformation.
  • Differentiate the solution against established competitors and internal alternatives.
  • Consistently convert late-stage opportunities into signed contracts.
