Job description

About Viva Talent 💡

Viva is a subscription-based talent service. We hire and develop Executive Assistants and Recruiting Coordinators across Latin America who work with startups in the U.S. and Canada.

Our mission is to create 1,000 meaningful career opportunities for women in Latin America, while welcoming people of all genders who are excited about what we're building.

What you'll do 💼

As a Talent Partner, you'll be both a recruiter and a builder.

You'll actively run stages of our recruitment process, from screening candidates and conducting interviews to managing communication and moving candidates through the pipeline.

But we want you to think beyond getting candidates from one stage to the next. We want you to care about what it feels like to be a candidate at Viva. Was the email clear? Did they know what to expect? Did the interview feel engaging? Did we respect their time? What could we make simpler, warmer, faster, or more memorable?

And we want you to get creative. Bring ideas we haven't thought of. Experiment. Use AI. Automate something. Redesign something. Question something. If you see an opportunity to make the experience better, we want you to be hungry to do something about it.

Responsibilities ✏️

  1. Run recruiting stages: Screen candidates, conduct interviews, manage candidate communication, maintain a healthy and accurate pipeline, and move candidates through the process with speed and care.

  2. Champion the candidate experience: Think about the candidate at every turn. Make sure people feel informed, respected, valued, and cared for throughout the process, regardless of the outcome.

  3. Make every touchpoint better: Look at everything a candidate sees, receives, or experiences and ask how it could be better. Emails, interviews, instructions, surveys, resources, feedback, or something completely new. Think outside the box and get creative. The sky's the limit.

  4. Turn data into action: Use recruiting data, candidate feedback, and what you're seeing day to day to spot friction, bottlenecks, and opportunities to improve.

  5. Build smarter workflows: Use AI and automation to eliminate repetitive work, improve consistency, and rethink how parts of our recruiting process could work.

  6. Bring your point of view: Don't just follow the process. Question it. Bring ideas, share your opinions, test new approaches, and take ownership of making things better.

Who you are 🔍

  1. You're obsessed with people's experience: You have 1+ years in a people-facing role (Talent Acquisition, People Ops, HR, or similar) where you directly shaped the experience of candidates or employees. The title matters less to us than the mindset.

  2. You're an improver: When you see something confusing, inefficient, impersonal, or simply "fine," your instinct is to ask how it could be better. You don't need to wait for someone to assign you an improvement project.

  3. You're a sharp communicator: You have C1+ English and communicate confidently, clearly, and engagingly, both in writing and live conversations.

  4. You're excited about AI and automation: You don't need to know everything already. You do need to be curious enough to experiment, teach yourself, and explore how technology could fundamentally improve the way we work.

  5. You're full of ideas and willing to act on them: You're comfortable sharing your perspective, trying something new, learning when it doesn't work, and turning good ideas into actual improvements.

  6. You're fast and resourceful: You can prioritize, solve problems, and maintain attention to detail in a high-volume environment where things move quickly.

  7. You're tech-fluent: You're comfortable working remotely and using tools like Notion, Google Workspace, spreadsheets, ATS platforms, AI and automation tools.

  8. You're a long-term player: You've stayed at least two years in one of your last three roles.
