The Key Account Manager & Application Support for Leica Biosystems is responsible for proactively approaching potential facilities and KOLs for permanent growth through activities with KOLs, CCLs and large hospitals, and making progress and creating competitive Leica Total Solution proposals. In addition, the objective is to improve the presence of Leica solutions for own region.


This position is part of the Commercial team located in Hong Kong and will be fully remote. At Leica Biosystems, our vision is to advance cancer diagnostics and improve lives.


You will be a part of the HK Commercial team and report to the Commercial Business Manager, HKTW responsible for establishing relationships with key facilities that are influential to the industry and LBS and achieving sales targets and forecasts and establishing relationships with KOLs and supporting main and co-sponsorship of seminars and conferences for the industry and LBS. In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Develop strategic account plans for Hospital Authority clusters, private hospitals, universities and reference laboratories.
  • Achieve Hong Kong sales, order and profitability targets across equipment, consumables, service and Digital Pathology.
  • Prepare quotations, pricing proposals, tender specifications, compliance statements and submissions.
  • Maintain accurate SFDC pipeline, opportunity progression and forecasting.
  • Coordinate evaluation, site readiness, installation, integration, training and new product introduction.

The essential requirements of the job include:

  • Bachelor’s Degree at the very minimum, Advanced Science Degree preferred
  • Minimum 5 years of previous sales experience in a leading medical device company with instrumentation and consumables
  • Demonstrated track record for meeting sales objectives with year over year results
  • Strong capability to open new accounts
  • Previous experience building strategic relationships in key accounts

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

  • Proven ability to ‘system’ and ‘circular’ sell within accounts
  • Solid understanding on selling medical capital equipment and consumables
  • Demonstrated functional experience in areas such as strategic selling
