LOCATION

This is a remote position that must reside in the greater Nashville area to support customers and partners. Candidates not located within the region will be automatically disqualified.

INTRODUCTION

The market has shifted. AI is accelerating. The key to AI success is intelligent data and the infrastructure to manage it. Customers are urgently rethinking how they modernize, secure, and unlock value from their data. NetApp is built for this exact moment, with a differentiated platform, deep enterprise credibility, and a clear strategy to win. Joining NetApp now means operating in a high-achievement environment where you are empowered to own every moment. Our culture is grounded in three principles: innovate to elevate, drive results, and excel as a team. These are more than words, they define how we show up, how we sell, and how we grow.

JOB SUMMARY

As a Senior Client Executive at NetApp, you’ll own a portfolio of strategic enterprise accounts with established customer relationships and significant opportunity for continued growth. But the expectation of a great seller always has been, and always will be, that you still have to enjoy the hunt. You are the quarterback of the account: setting the strategy, finding whitespace, building relationships, and bringing together the right technical, partner, and internal resources to win. You’ll also be joining our Central Region, a team of passionate, high-performing people who genuinely enjoy working together. We take winning seriously, but we believe the best results come when you collaborate, show up for your teammates, spend time with customers and partners, and have fun doing it. We win together, celebrate together, and play as a team.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • Own the strategy and business outcomes for a portfolio of strategic enterprise accounts, expanding established relationships while aggressively identifying whitespace and new growth opportunities.
  • Develop multi-quarter account strategies that connect customer business priorities, technology environments, key stakeholders, competitive dynamics, and new use cases to measurable revenue growth.
  • Build trusted relationships across customer organizations, from technical teams to executive decision-makers, and maintain a strong presence in the market through customer meetings, partner engagement, and industry events.
  • Partner closely with Solutions Engineers to uncover opportunities, position differentiated solutions, and translate complex technology into meaningful customer and business outcomes.
  • Lead complex enterprise sales cycles from discovery through close, leveraging MEDDICC, competitive strategy, commercial negotiation, and disciplined pipeline and forecast management.
  • Orchestrate NetApp’s broader ecosystem, including channel partners, Specialists, Customer Success, Partner Management, and leadership to create demand, accelerate opportunities, and deliver a seamless customer experience.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 7+ years of quota-carrying enterprise sales experience with a consistent track record of meeting or exceeding targets and growing complex customer accounts.
  • Required: Strong experience selling enterprise technology across storage, data center, infrastructure, data platforms, or closely adjacent technologies.
  • Established understanding of the local enterprise technology market, including the customer landscape, partner ecosystem, competitive dynamics, and relationships that influence how business gets done.
  • Proven ability to protect and expand a meaningful install base while identifying whitespace, generating new pipeline, and closing net-new opportunities.
  • Strong command of strategic enterprise selling, including account planning, discovery, MEDDICC, value positioning, channel strategy, negotiation, and complex deal execution.
  • Excellent business and financial acumen, executive communication skills, and the ability to build credibility across technical teams, business stakeholders, and executive leadership.

Compensation:
The target salary range for this position is $350 - $385K. The salary offered will be determined by the candidate's location, qualifications, experience, and education and may be outside of this range. The range is based on 'On Target Earnings’ (OTE) representing the total potential earnings, which is the sum of the base salary and potential commission earned when performance targets are achieved. Final compensation packages are competitive and in line with industry standards, reflecting a variety of factors, and include a comprehensive benefits package. This may cover Health Insurance, Life Insurance, Retirement or Pension Plans, Paid Time Off, various Leave options, employee stock purchase plan, and/or restricted stocks (RSU’s). These offerings are subject to regional variations and governed by local laws, regulations, and company policies. We will provide detailed information about the specific benefits for your region during the recruitment process.
