Job description

The Vice President, Enterprise PMO is responsible for overseeing and optimizing the portfolio of company-wide strategic initiatives to ensure the efficient execution against our business outcomes and objectives. This role demands a strategic thinker with hands-on leadership experience, particularly in the SaaS industry, who can steer continuous improvement and manage complex cross-functional strategic initiatives across the organization. You will lead a team of program managers, navigating a matrixed environment to turn complex corporate strategies into velocity and predictable delivery.

Additionally, this leader will collaborate closely with peer technology executives to direct the overarching Business Technology operating rhythm, enhance enterprise-wide technology portfolio management, and refine operational models and workflows. This is a builder’s role designed for a high-EQ change agent who can operate close to the execution while architecting the workflows that allow us to scale.

What You'll Do

Enterprise Portfolio Management & Program Leadership

  • Portfolio Governance & Strategy: Establish the intake, framework, and year-round prioritization process to align the enterprise portfolio (5–10+ concurrent global initiatives) with company objectives
  • Program Execution & Delivery: Lead cross-functional execution across digital transformation, market expansion, and commercial offerings—partnering with functional leads on roadmaps, resourcing, and timeline reduction
  • Capacity Planning: Develop organizational capacity models to balance resource allocation and prevent team burnout across global initiatives
  • Risk Management & Escalation: Serve as the primary escalation point to resolve cross-functional blockers, triage risks, and support program managers on critical issues

Technology Portfolio Management

  • Portfolio Visibility: Collaboratively partner with Business Systems and Data & Analytics leadership to maintain a single, authoritative view of all enterprise technology assets—tracking ownership, cost, technical health, and risk
  • Portfolio Rationalization: Co-lead rationalization efforts (build vs. buy vs. retire decisions, consolidation, and redundancy elimination) alongside Business Systems, Data & Analytics, and Enterprise Architecture peers
  • Executive Dashboarding & ROI: Jointly develop executive portfolio dashboards with Business Systems and Data & Analytics to connect technology and data investments directly to business outcomes and ROI

Business Technology Operations & Organizational Effectiveness

  • Technology Operations & Governance: Design and manage the operating rhythm, processes, and governance across Technology—ensuring cross-team alignment and delivery speed
Financial & Spend Optimization: Partner with Finance on TBM frameworks to track tech spend, manage vendor/contract governance, and demonstrate ROI to leadership
  • Executive Reporting: Deliver high-level status, risk, and portfolio dashboards directly to the CIO, C-suite, and Board of Directors
  • Modernization & Change Management: Lead the internal deployment of AI tools and drive change management strategies, operational efficiencies, and stakeholder engagement

What You'll Need
Minimum Qualifications

  • 15+ years of experience in Enterprise PMO, Technology Operations, and/or Transformation leadership roles (with a Bachelor’s degree), demonstrating increasing complexity, scale, and responsibility.
  • 7+ years of experience leading strategic, business, or technology operations teams at scale, with direct or matrixed oversight of budget, vendor, and portfolio governance
  • Proven track record guiding B2B SaaS organizations through rapid growth and transformational change, ideally scaling toward or operating within $1B+ revenue environments
  • Experience managing a highly strategic enterprise portfolio (8–10+ concurrent global programs) with cross-functional dependencies across Business Technology, Go-to-Market, Finance, Legal, Product, and Customer Experience
  • Track record of standing up or maturing Enterprise PMO capabilities focused on driving corporate objectives, outcomes, and shared portfolio governance
  • Demonstrated ability to influence technology budgets, vendor strategy, and operating-model decisions beyond program execution
  • Exceptional executive presence and communication skills — capable of acting as a C-level proxy, navigating cross-functional conflict, and presenting effectively from engineering teams to the Board

Preferred Qualifications

  • Direct experience implementing AI technologies and modern automation workflows to enhance portfolio visibility, predictive risk management, and operational velocity in high-growth SaaS environments
  • Demonstrated success driving a culture of collaboration, innovation, talent development, and operational excellence across matrixed teams
  • Active PMP, PMI-PMOCP, or equivalent PMO credential; Technology Business Management (TBM) certification a plus.

Working Conditions & Travel Requirements

  • Up to 30% travel
  • Reliable internet access for any period of time working remotely, not in a Workiva office
