Join Fugro’s Satellite Positioning team in Nootdorp as a GNSS Software / Systems Engineer. Fugro develops and operates its own high-precision GNSS services, enabling customers worldwide to achieve superior positioning accuracy and reliability. As part of the delivery team, you will bridge the gap between research and real world products by transforming advanced GNSS algorithms into software solutions used in the field and across our global infrastructure.


Your role

  • You develop, maintain, and enhance software that transforms advanced GNSS algorithms into high-quality products and services used by customers worldwide;
  • You take ownership of features throughout the entire lifecycle, from design and implementation to integration, deployment, and operational support;
  • You build and improve CI/CD, packaging, and release pipelines that ensure reliable software delivery across multiple platforms;
  • You collaborate closely with research, development, and operational teams to integrate new capabilities into production environments;
  • You design and implement tools that improve software validation, testing, monitoring, and feedback from end users;
  • You contribute to high software quality through code reviews, automated testing, and Agile development practices;
  • You document critical systems and share knowledge proactively to strengthen team resilience and reduce operational risks;
  • You support the integration of Fugro’s solutions with partner systems and provide technical assistance to customers when needed.

Your track record

  • You hold a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Embedded Systems, Navigation Technology, Geodesy, or a related technical discipline;
  • You bring several years of experience in a software engineering, systems engineering, or software product development environment;
  • You are proficient in C/C++ development and have experience with Python or similar languages for tooling and automation;
  • You have hands-on experience with embedded systems, Linux-based environments, and software deployment in production settings;
  • You are familiar with CI/CD pipelines, software packaging, release management, and DevOps principles;
  • You apply a systems engineering mindset and can effectively balance software, hardware, and operational requirements;
  • You communicate fluently in English, work effectively with cross-functional teams and external partners, and ideally bring knowledge of GNSS, high-precision positioning, Agile tooling, and AI-assisted software development.

What we offer

  • A gross monthly salary between €4400 and €5400, depending on your relevant experience. This amount falls within our salary range and offers opportunities for growth within the role;
