ABOUT THE ROLE

KEY RESPONSIBILITIESSource and identify hotel and lodging development opportunities across Italy through market research, networking, and engagement with owners, developers, consultants, brokers, and other key stakeholders.

  • Research and assess potential hotel development opportunities, considering commercial, operational, financial, and strategic factors.

  • Build and maintain a network of key stakeholders, including hotel owners, developers, investors, brokers, landlords, and consultants.

  • Support preliminary financial feasibility assessments and site evaluations for prospective hotel projects.

  • Conduct market and competitor research to identify strategic partnerships, emerging opportunities, and high-value development prospects.

  • Prepare professional reports, presentations, pitch decks, market analyses, and internal briefing materials for prospective hotel projects.

  • Coordinate outreach, meetings, follow-ups, and other business development activities with potential partners and stakeholders.

  • Maintain accurate records of development opportunities, contacts, project pipelines, and ongoing discussions.

  • Collaborate with internal teams to support the evaluation and progression of potential hotel development opportunities from initial research through to the next stages of development.

EXPERIENCE & SKILLS

  • 1–3 years of relevant experience in hotel development, real estate, hospitality, business development, investment, consulting, or a related field.

  • Strong understanding of, or demonstrated interest in, the Italian hospitality and hotel development market.

  • Existing relationships or exposure to hotel owners, developers, investors, brokers, consultants, or real estate networks in Italy is an advantage.

  • Strong research and analytical skills, with the ability to evaluate market information and identify potential development opportunities.

  • Excellent communication, relationship-building, and stakeholder management skills.

  • Strong presentation and report-writing skills, with the ability to prepare clear and professional materials for internal and external stakeholders.

  • Highly organised and self-driven, with the ability to manage multiple opportunities and priorities independently in a remote environment.

  • Strong ownership mindset, proactive approach, and ability to identify opportunities rather than relying solely on assigned leads.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.

  • Fluency in English and Italian is preferred.

  • Based in Italy, with the ability to travel for meetings and site visits when required.
