Job description

PDMI is looking for a motivated, organized Project Manager who takes ownership of delivering high-quality software solutions and driving successful outcomes to join our team! This role leads projects and coordinates related initiatives from planning through completion, aligning teams, managing timelines and dependencies, and proactively addressing risks to keep delivery on track, within scope, and within budget. Through clear communication, cross-functional collaboration, and shared accountability, this individual turns plans into results. The position also fulfills Scrum Master responsibilities to support team effectiveness and continuous improvement.

Since 1984, PDMI has provided pharmacy data processing and other flexible, scalable solutions to help our clients meet their business objectives. We offer transparent, pass-through pharmacy processing and other services for private label Pharmacy Benefit Managers (PBMs), vertically integrated health plans and hospital systems. In addition to Pharmacy Benefit Administrative Services, we offer 340B Administration, Hospice and Long-Term Care Services.

Key Responsibilities:  

  • Lead project teams using Agile, Waterfall, or Hybrid methodologies depending on project requirements.
  • Develop and manage detailed project plans, including scope, timelines, budget, and resource allocation.
  • Understand projects within the context of PDMI’s business landscape and collaborate with resource managers to support team effectiveness, productivity insights, and technology roadmap planning.
  • Coordinate internal teams and third-party vendors for successful project execution.
  • Monitor project performance and milestones to ensure alignment with business goals.
  • Organize and facilitate stakeholder meetings, ensuring alignment of priorities and deliverables.
  • Proactively identify project risks and issues and provide timely solutions or escalate as needed.
  • Manage scope changes and ensure all changes are properly documented and communicated.
  • Maintain comprehensive project documentation, dashboards, and progress updates.
  • Encourage collaboration, accountability, and transparency within project teams.
  • Serve as Scrum Master for Agile teams, facilitating daily stand-ups, sprint planning, retrospectives, and removing blockers.
  • Support IT and business teams by fostering clear communication and setting achievable timelines.
  • Provide regular updates and reports to leadership regarding status, risks, and accomplishments.

Qualifications – Education, Experience, Certifications:  

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 7+ years experience as a Project Manager, Scrum Master, or similar role in IT environments.
  • Proven ability to manage projects using Agile, Lean, Waterfall, Iterative and related project management methodologies.
  • Proficiency with project management tools including Monday.com, JIRA, and/or MS Project.
  • Familiar with PDMI work and productivity tools including the MS Office suite is required, and experience with visualization and analysis tools including Tableau, PowerBI, Advanced Excel is highly preferred.
  • PMP, CSM, or other project management/scrum certifications.
