Job description

Welcome to Lava Island

Lava Island is an indoor play oasis where kids fly across trampolines, dive into foam pits, race down slides, and disappear into towering jungle gyms while families share pizza and celebrate birthdays. It is loud, bright, and full of energy, and it is the kind of place where memories happen without warning.

A lot of those memories are birthdays. Our Spark team at HQ supports every park, and the Party Booking Team is where each celebration starts.

What You’re Really Booking

On paper, a booking is a date, a package, a headcount, and a deposit. To the parent on the other end of the call, it is their kid’s birthday. You are the first voice they hear, and the person who turns “we’re thinking about a party” into a confirmed celebration.

Getting it right matters twice: once for the family, and once for the park team hosting the party. When the details are accurate and the party host knows what to expect, the day the family pictured is the day they get. When a parent hangs up excited instead of stressed, that is your work.

Why You’ll Love Working at Lava Island

  • Work from home. Fully remote, with a team and tools behind you.
  • Pay that follows performance. $50,000 to $85,000 on-target earnings
  • Real coaching. Script practice, call reviews, and a Booking Lead who supports your work day to day.
  • Work that matters. Every booking is a birthday a family will remember.
  • Room to grow. We promote from within, and the team grows as we open new parks every year.
  • Benefits and recognition for great work.

What You’ll Do

You turn inquiries into booked parties, and you set the park up to deliver them.

Book the party

  • Respond to inbound party inquiries quickly and follow up by phone and text.
  • Guide parents to the best party for their child, group size, and date.
  • Handle questions and objections with warmth, ask for the booking, and collect the deposit.

Get the details right

  • Enter every party accurately in our systems, from package and headcount to add-ons and payment.
  • Prepare park party hosts with accurate expectations before each party.
  • Keep details consistent across every platform and channel.

Take care of families

  • Give parents a concierge-level experience from first call to party day.
  • Communicate proactively and on time, so families always know what to expect.

Grow your numbers

  • Track your outreach and outcomes, and keep improving your booking rate.
  • Practice scripts, take feedback, and put it to work.
  • Raise issues to your Booking Lead early, so nothing reaches a family unresolved.

Who We’re Looking For

This is a sales role built on warmth. The people who do well here are:

  • Confident on the phone. Friendly, professional, and comfortable guiding a parent to a decision.
  • Goal-driven. You like having a target and you like beating it.
  • Detail-driven. You get it right the first time, so nothing is missed after the call.
  • Quick to follow up. Fast responses and consistent follow-through come naturally.
  • Coachable. You take feedback well and use it.
  • Tech capable. You learn new systems quickly and can work across several tabs during a call.
  • Living our values. We’re Day Makers, We Raise the Bar, We’re All In, and We’re Better Together.

What You’ll Need

  • Residence in Colorado, Utah, Idaho, Montana, Missouri, or New Jersey.
  • Comfort with a high volume of outreach and follow-up.
  • Comfort asking for the booking and handling common objections with confidence and warmth.
  • If you are newer to sales, a strong willingness to learn and comfort practicing scripts and receiving feedback.
  • Availability for scheduled shifts, weekday and/or weekend, based on park needs.
  • Moderate software proficiency, including Google apps (Gmail, Calendar, Drive) and Outlook, and the ability to pick up new systems and CRMs quickly.
  • A reliable computer and internet connection.

Nice to have

  • One or more years in sales, customer service, hospitality, retail, call center, or another customer-facing role.
  • Experience in a goal-driven or commission-based role.
  • Experience booking parties, events, or reservations.

A full job description can be shared and walked through with you during the process, so you have the complete picture before moving forward.
