We are currently looking for a Loss Adjuster to join our busy, expanding Southland/Central Otago team.  The role covers the area from Dunedin to Invercargill, and the role would suit applicants based in any location within this region. This is an exciting and dynamic position helping people and businesses who have suffered loss or damage to their buildings or property including motor vehicles.  It involves assessing damage on-site, establishing costs, facilitating repairs and a high level of communication with all parties.

The region is known for its rugged natural beauty, outdoor activities including jet boating, tramping and the winter mountain snow, and for its warm hospitality.

This role would suit those with experience in the

  • Insurance sector

  • Trade background – Motor vehicle /building sector, mechanical or engineering

 Main duties and responsibilities:

  • Assess, scope and cost damage to domestic and commercial property claims.

  • Liaising with customers who have suffered a loss and need support through the claim process.

  • Working with brokers and insurer partners

  • Facilitating the settlement of insurance claims involving analysing cause of losses, reporting to insurers, dealing with contractors and other suppliers, agreeing repair scopes and costs, agreeing quantum of claims, communication with customers and all involved parties.
