Role Overview:

Reporting to the SVP, of Global Solutions Engineering, the Senior Director of APAC Sales Engineering strategically and tactically leads the SE Organization in direct alignment with Trellix’s Go-To-Market strategy, providing technical excellence, solution outcomes and enablement to our Customers and Channel partners across the region.
The SE leader will also be accountable for field readiness programs, operational excellence, and metrics and OKR management and reporting. Lastly and of utmost importance is the role of continuous leadership efforts aligned to attracting, developing, motivating, and transforming the APAC SE teams to become best in class when engaging with customers and partners.

About the Role:

  • You will lead APAC SE strategy setting and execution in alignment with the overarching theatre GTM and customer strategy. 
  • You’ll apply an inspirational and disciplined style in leading the organization to foster a positive, open, innovative, and high performing culture, including leading by example and driving a culture of personal leadership, ownership and initiative.
  • Maintain active, constructive communication with global Sales and SE leadership regarding pipeline forecasts and activity results against metrics, along with recommended courses of action should performance slip below expectations and forecast.
  • Be the motivational and inspirational voice of the APAC region, communicating openly and often, particularly during times of high growth and transformation.
  • During your Interactions with leaders from Product Mgmt, Product Engineering, Marketing and Services provide market, customer and Partner insights and intelligence, along with technical feedback, new use-case examples, and product roadmap suggestions.
  • With a focus on influencing sales pipelines aligned to net-new deals and account expansion opportunities, leverage SE teams and Sales tools, resources and performance data to manage SE productivity and operational effectiveness.   
  • With the objective of shortening the sales cycle, In conjunction with your Regional SE Direct Reports, collaborate with leadership from Partners to identify, support and close opportunities, while ensuring Partners are technically enabled and educated on Trellix solutions.
  • With a lead-from-the-front style, actively and directly engage with APAC’s most prominent customers, leading engagements with your teams, delivering or co-delivering customer presentations, all while positioning the value of Trellix’s portfolio and roadmap.

About You:

  • You are an inspirational, technically astute sales engineering leader with a track record of establishing theatre-wide strategies as well as establishing and measuring tactical performance and outcomes.
  • Your overall career experiences must include a minimum of 7+ years’ experience leading regional APAC enterprise SaaS software Sales Engineering teams of at least 20 within a blended direct & indirect sales model.     
  • A history of building or evolving your teams into top performers is paramount – talent assessment, talent acquisition, performance management and succession planning is essential to your success.
  • In applying a hands-on leadership style, learning how you guided your teams in influencing pipelines and sales cycles will be imperative.
  • A track-record in consultative solution selling of SaaS-focused, enterprise-grade integrated solutions and/or platforms, with a focus on customer success and achieving mutually positive outcomes.  Cybersecurity software experience is highly preferred, but not required.
  • Must be technically credible to communicate the value and differentiators of our platform and solutions with customers, partners and across your SE organization.
  • Your highly effective communications skills will allow you to interact with confidence and credibility at all levels.   Multi-lingual communications skills preferred, but not mandatory.
  • Ability and history of engaging with and influencing the most senior internal and external decision makers, including working closely with Product Management, Product Development and Marketing, bringing market and customer feedback and desires into focus.
  • Overnight travel approximately 50%.
