Rather than interviewing for a single posted role, you will go through a structured Discipline Assessment that establishes your level and demonstrated capability. Once your level is determined, TEECOM’s recruiting and leadership teams identify the opportunity and team where your skills, experience, and goals can have the greatest impact while aligning with the needs of the business.

Roles span Designer II through Principal, Senior Consultant. We use your assessment to understand where your experience and strengths fit best, including the level and title that reflect your capabilities.

If you have meaningful experience in more than one discipline, apply to your primary discipline and tell your recruiter about your secondary discipline(s) during your Introduction Call. You may be scheduled for a separate Discipline Assessment for each one.

TEECOM's Acoustics practice helps clients achieve acoustical performance goals that support user experience, functionality, and design intent across a wide range of building types. Our clients span a wide and growing range of industries and facility types across the US, UK, and India.

Our work spans all aspects of the built environment including sound isolation and speech privacy, room finishes and shaping, mechanical and plumbing systems noise and vibration control, environmental and community noise analysis, and vibration assessment and mitigation. Acoustics designers at TEECOM engage across the full project lifecycle — from concept design through construction documents, specifications, and construction administration. You will collaborate with architects, mechanical engineers, structural engineers, AV designers, owners and facility operators to deliver environments where acoustical performance is designed in, not corrected after the fact.

At more senior levels, you will lead acoustical design strategies for complex projects, mentor junior designers, manage client relationships, and help shape TEECOM's Acoustics practice.

We hire at all levels — the strongest acoustics candidates are curious, coachable, and willing to challenge their own analysis before calling it done. If you don’t have everything on this list yet, that’s expected — TEECOM develops people through structured documentation, mentorship, and real project work.

• Experience performing acoustical analysis and preparing clear recommendations across one or more areas: sound isolation, room finishes and shaping, mechanical systems noise and vibration, and environmental noise
• Ability to produce acoustical recommendations, specification sections, and construction-phase documentation
• Proficiency with acoustical modeling and analysis tools — ODEON, EASE, Insul, SoundPlan, Treble, or similar
• Familiarity with key standards and guidelines — ASHRAE, ANSI, ASTM, ASA, IBC, and applicable codes for noise and vibration
• Experience with field measurement and verification of acoustical conditions — preferred
• Degree in architectural acoustics, acoustics, physics, any four-year engineering discipline, or a closely related technical field — preferred
• INCE Board Certification — preferred
• Ability to manage your own work independently across multiple concurrent projects
