Database Administrator (Oracle / MySQL)

About the role
We are looking for an Intermediate Database Administrator to join a team that supports multiple clients across several industries. You will provide specialized technical support for Oracle, MySQL and Exadata environments, working on both ongoing operations and database projects.

Responsibilities

• Provide specialized technical support in Database Administration (Oracle / MySQL / Exadata), responding to incidents and queries

• Monitor and resolve day-to-day database issues, ensuring optimal performance

• Contribute to the implementation and support of database-related projects

• Collaborate with the teams supporting database-dependent software

• Participate in the implementation of best practices and process improvements

• Produce and maintain technical documentation when required

• Follow established security standards and best practices in database administration

• Communicate effectively with team members supporting ongoing operations and projects

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in Database Administration

• Proven experience managing Oracle databases (various versions) and MySQL

• Solid knowledge of Oracle Database, MySQL, Oracle RAC and Data Guard

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, or equivalent combination of education and experience

• Availability for ongoing operational tasks

• Commitment to continuous learning

• Native Portuguese; English at B1 level or higher

Nice to have

• Database management in OCI (Oracle Cloud Infrastructure)

• Knowledge of Exadata

• Oracle certifications

• Postgraduate degree in a relevant field

Working conditions

• Hybrid model: at least 2 days per week on-site in the Lisbon Metropolitan Area

• Rotating schedule between 8am and 8pm (shifts 8am–5pm and 11am–8pm)

• 24/7 on-call availability on a rotating basis with other team members
