Manager, Operations

Overview of Job Function: 

The Manager, Operations will be responsible for the overall Supply Chain Management including interfacing with business functions, procurement, sales, support, quality management and new product engineering. The role will manage day-to-day operations including forecasting material planning, warehousing, inventory management, distribution, customer services, and support. The role will manage relationships with suppliers, contractors and third-party service providers to the operations group. The manager also will oversee the entire order cycle and ensure sustainable operations and customer satisfaction. This role is a blend of primarily managing external supply chain operations, while also providing people leadership internally to operations specialists.

Principal Duties and Essential Responsibilities:

• Liaise with leadership and business functions to drive operational activities and support business objectives.
• Evaluate overall performance by gathering, analyzing, and interpreting data and metrics.
• Direct inbound or outbound logistics operations, such as transportation optimization, warehouse activities, safety performance, or logistics quality management.
• Manage the daily fulfillment of customer shipments by working with Verint’s third party logistics service providers.
• Coordinate and communicate with planning, production, shipping, and procurement to meet order requirements and set priorities to achieve on-time delivery and maximize inventory.
• Regularly evaluate the efficiency of business procedures according to organizational objectives and identify/implement improvements.
• Own decisions and risks mitigators to execute on competing priorities and monitor specific supply chain-based Key Performance Measurement Matrix such as OTD (On Time Delivery), and MTTR (Mean Timer to Repair).
• Manage relationships and monitor agreements with external partners/vendors.
• Create policies or procedures for end-to-end supply chain activities.
• Plan and/or implement material flow management systems to meet production requirements.
• Analyze all aspects of corporate logistics to determine the most cost-effective, productive, accurate or timelines objectives of transporting product or supplies.
• Implement specific customer requirements, such as internal reporting or customized transportation metrics.
• Monitor product import/export processes to ensure compliance with regulatory or legal requirements.
• Negotiate transportation rates or services.
• Negotiate with suppliers or customers to improve supply chain efficiency or sustainability.
• Plan and implement improvements to internal or external logistics systems or processes.
• Recommend new or improved technology, such as automated systems.
• Develop risk management programs to ensure continuity of supply in emergency scenarios.
• Collaborate with other departments to integrate logistics with business systems or processes, such as sales, order management, accounting, customer support, product, NPI (New Product Introduction), and quality.
• Direct or coordinate comprehensive logistical or reverse logistical functions for product life cycles, including acquisition, distribution, internal allocation, delivery, recycling, reuse, or final disposal of resources.
• Conduct or review environmental audits for logistics activities, such as storage, distribution, or transportation.
• Lead a team of operations specialists to execute these responsibilities with your guidance.

Minimum Requirements:

• B.S. in Industrial engineering, Operations, Logistics or other related discipline, or equivalent work experience.
• Minimum of 6 years’ experience in Hardware Operations & Supply chain and at least 4 years of leadership experience in a manufacturing or supply chain environment.
• Excellent analytical skills, experience with self-service BI reporting.
• Understanding of statistics, operation research and optimization of transportation networks.
• Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills.
• Strong communication skills and effectively presents information to leaders, employees, and customers.
• Ability to work independently and handle multiple projects.

• Successful completion of a background screening process including, but not limited to, employment verifications, criminal search, OFAC, SS Verification, as well as credit and drug screening, where applicable and in accordance with federal and local regulations.
