OVERVIEW:

The Paid Social Strategist is accountable for strategy, execution, and account stewardship across paid social advertising ecosystem, including META & Pinterest. The role translates client objectives related to acquisition, revenue, profitability, retention, and brand growth into integrated full-funnel strategies, media plans, and structured testing roadmaps. This is a high-impact individual contributor role requiring a highly proactive, organized, and resilient professional who combines analytical thinking with creative judgment, learns quickly, and operates effectively in a high-growth environment where priorities, processes, and technology evolve rapidly.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Performance orientation. A performance-oriented mindset and the ability to connect daily decisions, audience strategy, and creative performance to client objectives and commercial outcomes.
  • Analytical and creative balance. Demonstrated analytical reasoning combined with creative judgment; ability to evaluate audience and creative performance and translate insights into strategic decisions.
  • Proactivity and ownership. Demonstrated proactivity, commitment, organization, determination, and reliability; consistent record of ownership and follow-through across multiple priorities.
  • Emotional intelligence. Strong emotional intelligence and self-awareness, with the ability to give and receive feedback constructively and remain effective through change.
  • Adaptability. Open and adaptable approach to working in a high-growth environment where priorities, tools, processes, and responsibilities evolve rapidly.
  • Communication. Clear, professional, and consultative writtn and verbal communication skills; professional fluency in English.
  • Continuous learning. Strong commitment to continuous learning and improvement; intellectual curiosity and initiative are valued more highly than complete technical mastery at hire.
  • Relevant context (preferred). Experience in Meta advertising, paid social, performance media, ecommerce, or digital marketing; experience with advertising technology or analytics platforms is a plus.

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

  • Strategy and planning. Translate client objectives (acquisition, revenue, profitability, retention, brand growth) into full-funnel Meta strategies, budget recommendations, testing roadmaps, and integrated creative briefs; validate assumptions and update plans as performance and market data emerge.
  • Campaign development and execution. Ability to follow a playbook, develop and manage Paid Social campaigns across Facebook, Instagram & Pinterest, including sales and conversion objectives, Advantage+ solutions, audiences, placements, bidding, budgets, catalogs, and creative formats; maintain expert-level platform knowledge.
  • Account ownership and commitment. Maintain clear ownership of assigned accounts, consistently meeting commitments and proactively identifying risks, opportunities, and required actions; ensure accurate and timely records in Salesforce, Planner, and internal workflows.
  • Performance monitoring and optimization. Monitor budget pacing, media investment, revenue, ROAS, CPA/CAC, conversion rate, CPM, CTR, frequency, and relevant funnel metrics; investigate material changes and implement appropriate corrective actions.
  • Audience strategy and testing. Develop audience strategies across prospecting, remarketing, retention, and exclusions; account for privacy requirements and available signal quality. Lead structured creative testing in partnership with clients and internal teams, including hypothesis development, variation planning, fatigue monitoring, and performance analysis.
  • Catalog and commerce optimization. Manage catalog and commerce campaigns, evaluating feed quality, product coverage, product sets, promotional priorities, and merchandising opportunities; collaborate with Technical Implementation on catalog issues.
  • Analytics and insights. Prepare accurate reports, account health assessments, media plans, strategy presentations, and QBR materials that translate audience, creative, and campaign performance into concise, actionable recommendations; apply AI-enabled tools to improve analysis while exercising sound judgment.
  • Cross-functional collaboration. Collaborate closely with CSMs and clients on results, risks, strategic trade-offs, creative requirements, and growth opportunities; work with internal creative, technical, and product teams.

CHANNEL EXPERTISE AND TOOLS:

  • Meta Ads Manager: Working knowledge of sales and conversion campaigns, Advantage+ solutions, audiences, placements, bidding, catalogs, creative formats, and measurement.
  • Analytics and data: Working knowledge of GA4 and ecommerce analytics; proficiency in Excel or Google Sheets for campaign analysis and reporting.
  • AI and emerging tools: Practical familiarity with AI-enabled tools and strong interest in emerging capabilities, automation, and process improvement.
  • Advanced technical (preferred): Working knowledge of Meta Pixel, Conversions API, event quality, UTMs, attribution, catalogs, and delivery sufficient to support account deep dives and identify data-quality issues.
  • Quartile platform: Previous experience not required; ability and willingness to develop platform expertise are essential.

OPERATING MODEL:

  • Account assignments and prioritization. Strategists manage assigned accounts and prioritize daily optimization work based on client SLAs, campaign calendar, and escalated performance issues. CSMs and Account Leadership establish client expectations and escalation thresholds.
  • Escalation and decision rights. Strategic trade-offs (e.g., budget reallocation, audience expansion, creative direction) are discussed with the CSM and Account Leadership before implementation. Technical issues with pixels, events, catalogs, or integrations are escalated to the Technical Implementation team with clear evidence and next-step assessment.
  • Creative collaboration. Strategists brief creative partners and internal teams on audience, strategy, and performance insights. Creative testing roadmaps are documented and aligned with CSM and client expectations before launch.
  • Cross-functional coordination. Strategists work closely with CSMs on client communication, with Technical Implementation on measurement and catalog issues, and with Product/Engineering teams on platform capabilities. Strategists participate in QBRs and regular client check-ins.

STRATEGIC VALUE:

This role directly drives Channel Operations' ability to deliver consistent, creative-forward client results across Meta's advertising ecosystem. Paid Social Strategists expand Quartile's execution capacity, reduce client dependency on shared resources, and create space for Account Leadership to focus on strategy, new business, and full-funnel optimization. By combining creative strategy expertise with analytical rigor and Quartile platform knowledge, this role strengthens client relationships, improves retention, and supports expansion into higher-value creative and audience strategy services.
