Location & Remote Work

Our technology team operates under a "remote-first" model, which means we work from home and can live anywhere in Brazil. We also offer the option of working from our São Paulo offices or partner coworking spaces, up to twice a week.

About the Position

The Senior Cyber Threat Intelligence Engineer will be the primary technical lead for the Threat Intelligence area, ensuring compliance with the program’s strategy, doctrine, and operational standards. The main focus is the production of actionable intelligence, management of the full CTI cycle, and leadership of advanced collection efforts, with emphasis on the threat and fraud landscape in Brazil and Latin America. The professional will act as the CTI focal point for the entire company, raising the technical level of the Cyber team.

Key Responsibilities

• Doctrine and Technical Leadership: Develop, implement, and maintain the organization’s Cyber Threat Intel Doctrine, ensuring the consistency and effectiveness of the program.

• Comprehensive Intelligence Production: Lead the production of actionable intelligence reports and briefings, covering Strategic, Tactical, and Operational levels for audiences ranging from security analysts to senior executives.

• CTI Cycle Management: Demonstrate mastery and lead the team in managing the intelligence cycle (Collection, Analysis, Processing, and Dissemination), and be able to support other team members with day-to-day demands.

• Vendor / Source Management: Manage relationships, contracting, and technical integration of Threat Intelligence vendors in the Brazil and Latin America landscape.

• Advanced Collection and OPSEC: Lead collection efforts using specific OSINT (Open Source Intelligence) techniques, maintaining strict OPSEC during any interactions and collections in groups or forums.

• Brand Protection: Develop and continuously improve the Brand Protection practice at QuintoAndar, working together with strategic partners and internal teams.

• Regional Focus: Maintain a specialized focus and experience with the Brazil and Latin America fraud landscape, translating insights into actionable intelligence and tactical deliverables for the organization’s assets.

• Threat Hunting: Demonstrate mastery of the Threat Hunting discipline.

• Complex Threat Scenarios: Ability to understand complex threat scenarios, map key adversaries, and transform actionable intelligence into detection rules and recommendations for improving security controls.

Qualifications and Required Skills

• Experience: Proven experience in Cyber Threat Intelligence, malware analysis, or security research roles.

• Doctrine Knowledge: Strong knowledge and hands-on experience applying intelligence frameworks (e.g., Diamond Model, Kill Chain, MITRE ATT&CK).

• Analytical Skills: Proficiency in threat data analysis and correlation of information from multiple sources to identify trends and actors.

• Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills in Portuguese and English; Spanish is a plus, with the ability to present complex data concisely and clearly.

• Leadership: Proven experience in technical leadership, coordination, or mentoring of CTI teams and Defense teams.
