Talent Acquisition Specialist (Full-Time, Fixed Term)

About the Role

As Talent Acquisition Specialist you will oversee the recruitment process for our 3 brands: Avis, Budget, and Apex within Australia.  You will partner with our business leaders to hire the best talent for our operational needs.

Based in either Mascot, Sydney, or Brisbane with flexible work from home or even remote work options, you will be highly organised and experienced in working in a fast paced, high volume recruitment environment from an in-house or agency background.  Strong communication, relationship building and multi-tasking skills are a must have.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Use our applicant tracking system (ATS) to manage appropriately and timely the statuses of applicants throughout the recruitment process in real time and meeting all compliance measures.  This will include:
• Reviewing new applicants in a timely manner with responsibility of pre-selection of candidates to ensure they are meeting key requirements of the role (skill set and experience level) before pushing through to interview.
• Coordinate interviews (face to face and virtual) for Hiring Managers and request feedback/status updates upon completion.
• Dispositioning applicants appropriately, extend offers, scheduling start dates and additional follow up as needed.
• Provide an efficient and high-touch experience for all candidates throughout the key stages of their application, offer and pre-employment.
• Establish strong relationships with internal stakeholders so that you are able to provide valuable support as a subject matter expert to the business.
• Communicate effectively and professionally with candidates, hiring managers, interviewers, and other stakeholders.
• Responsible for the advertisement of requisitions within appropriate avenues all while meeting departmental budgets.
• Educate and up skill line managers on talent acquisition best practices and procedures (as needed).
• Develop strategic sourcing strategies for hard to fill roles throughout the market.
• Meet recruitment KPI’s.

Skills and Experience

• A minimum of 3 years’ working experience in a recruitment position using an applicant tracking system.
• Ability to work in a high volume, fast-paced environment with a sense of urgency.
• Expertise recruiting end to end for a wide range of roles, from operational, front line to management.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills with ability to communicate with all levels of the business up to Senior Leadership.
• Ability to think outside the box and come up with creative ways to attract and source talent.
