Sales Development Representative
Job Type: Full Time (Remote, preferred option to work in Chicago headquarters)
Salary: $60,000 - $62,000 full compensation package
Our ideal candidate is a determined and resourceful “go-getter” who loves to hunt for sales and is ready to contribute top-line results as part of our growing team. If you are an ambitious and motivated sales hunter, this is the position for you. Ragan Communications is a fast-growing media brand serving communicators, marketers and HR professionals and we’re seeking an SDR to help steer our premium brands via membership sales.
Join our team of sharp-minded problem-solvers who thrive in the fast pace of our market, where communications, technology and learning are converging. We are looking for sales professionals who enjoy prospecting, qualifying leads and helping our clients achieve their goals.

What You’ll Be Doing (Essential Responsibilities) :
  • Research and craft personalized outreach to target qualified prospects.
  • Connect with prospects via email, social tools and phone.
  • Book prospect calls on behalf of sales executives to meet or exceed your weekly quota.
  • Work productively within CRM database for accurate sales tracking and reporting.
  • Collaborate with marketing team to drive sales.
  • Support sales team as needed.
  • Persistently dig into data across multiple platforms to uncover top targets.
  • Research, plan and execute ongoing competitive market analysis.
  • Maintain fluency in Ragan’s suite of products and services and how they deliver value in the marketplace.
  • Support sales leadership team with business-building projects and duties.
  • Attend conferences and networking events to evangelize Ragan’s benefits.

What We Expect of You:
  • Bachelor’s degree (preferably in marketing, communications or related field).
  • Remote (or option to work in Chicago headquarters).
  • 3 years of relevant work experience in a sales development role.
  • Demonstrated success with surpassing target sales and retention goals.
  • Experience using CRM software – HubSpot preferred – and productivity tools.
  • Advanced verbal and written communication skills.
  • Confidence in corresponding with C-suite and senior executives at prospect companies.
