Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon – Clinical Reviewer

Overview

Dane Street is seeking an experienced Board-Certified Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon (OMS) to join our growing team of expert clinical reviewers. In this role, you will apply your specialized surgical and clinical expertise to conduct comprehensive reviews of dental and medical records and provide objective, evidence-based advisory opinions.

This is a fully remote 1099 independent contractor opportunity for an Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon who resides in Reno, Nevada and maintains an active, unrestricted Nevada dental license. You can customize your schedule and select case types and workload based on your availability.

Your primary responsibilities will include reviewing medical and dental records, evaluating clinical documentation and treatment plans, preparing clear and concise clinical summaries, and responding to specific questions from our clients related to oral and maxillofacial surgery and dental care.

This role involves advisory medical record reviews only and does not involve peer-to-peer discussions, telephone calls, direct patient care, or treatment.

Requirements

  • DMD, DDS, or equivalent doctoral degree from an accredited dental program
  • Completion of an accredited Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery residency program
  • Board Certification in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery
  • Current, unrestricted Nevada dental license
  • Must currently reside in Reno, Nevada
  • Minimum of 5+ years of clinical experience in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery
  • Ability to attend all required orientation and training sessions
  • Maintains appropriate credentialing, state licensure, and certifications required to perform the role
  • Strong clinical judgment and ability to communicate findings clearly, objectively, and concisely in written form
  • Comfortable reviewing complex medical and dental records and applying evidence-based clinical standards
