In this role, you will lead the Financial Cash Control team responsible for processing and resolving financial requests from clients, healthcare providers, and members. The team supports accounts receivable (AR), Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT), refunds, financial correspondence, and related financial transactions.

You will oversee daily operations and employee performance, monitor service-level requirements, resolve complex financial issues, and partner with clients and internal teams to improve processes and ensure financial transactions are completed accurately and timely.

Your role in our mission

  • Supervise Financial Cash Control operations, including accounts receivable, EFT enrollment and maintenance, refunds, financial correspondence, and related financial transactions.
  • Lead, coach, train, and develop employees while managing daily workflow, assignments, productivity, quality, performance, and established service-level requirements.
  • Oversee financial requests tracked through customer relationship management (CRM) systems and financial adjustments processed through Medicaid Management Information System (MMIS) financial applications.
  • Research and resolve complex financial issues involving clients, providers, members, accounts receivable, payments, refunds, EFT, or related financial transactions.
  • Partner with clients, Claims, Information Technology, and other internal teams to identify requirements, resolve operational issues, support system changes, and improve financial processes.
  • Analyze existing workflows and recommend process improvements designed to increase accuracy, efficiency, consistency, compliance, and overall service delivery.

What we're looking for

  • Six or more years of experience in financial operations, accounts receivable, accounts payable, cash control, payment processing, healthcare financial operations, or related financial functions.
  • Three or more years of leadership or supervisory experience, including responsibility for coaching, training, employee performance, and day-to-day operations.
  • Experience managing operational performance, workflow, service levels, quality, and competing priorities in a high-volume environment.
  • Experience working with business processes and related information technology applications; experience with CRM, MMIS, healthcare claims, or financial systems is preferred.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, communication, and process-improvement skills.

What you should expect in this role

  • This is a remote position supporting California’s Medi-Cal program.
  • You will lead employees responsible for financial transactions involving clients, healthcare providers, and members.
  • You will manage multiple priorities and deadlines while maintaining accuracy, quality, service levels, and compliance with Medi-Cal and organizational requirements.
  • You will regularly collaborate with clients, leadership, Claims, Information Technology, and other internal business partners.
  • You will be responsible for employee development, coaching, performance management, and helping the team achieve established operational objectives.
