Business Consulting & Services

Del Playa Group (DPG) is a U.S.-based professional services firm specializing in accounting, finance, and audit solutions for businesses and CPA firms. We help clients expand capacity, strengthen controls, and elevate performance by combining three pillars: fractional CFO advisory, top offshore talent, and transformative technology. Headquartered in Orange County, California, DPG was founded by Noel Navarro, Darren Devine, and Steven Prohaska through the strategic merger of NS Auxilium, MN Advisory Services, and Devine Financial Solutions. The merger united two highly respected organizations with over a decade of collaboration, with a modern services platform that helps businesses scale efficiently while driving cost savings. By developing high-trust, long-term relationships with businesses and CPA firms, we deliver tailored recommendations. Our clients rely on us for everything from placing auditors on new engagements, building technology-enabled processes or moving entire accounting functions offshore. By paying above-market rates to our global team members, we attract and retain world-class professionals, while passing on cost savings to clients — creating a win-win model that delivers both margin and quality. Whether you’re building your first set of financial statements, implementing SOX controls, staffing a critical audit project, or evaluating ERP systems, we provide the right mix of people, process, and technology to meet your needs. At Del Playa Group, our mission is simple: help audit and finance teams do more with less, without compromising quality.

Job description

The Role

The Accounting Manager will report to the VP, Accounting & Financial Reporting and will own Jupiter Power’s consolidated financial statements, set portfolio-wide financial statement standards, and serve as a first-line technical reviewer across select specialty areas.

This is a high-visibility role for someone who wants to take ownership of complex, judgment-driven accounting work and help reduce administrative and execution load at the leadership level, freeing the VP to focus on strategic priorities.

Key Responsibilities:

Financial Statement Ownership

  • Prepare and own the Jupiter Power consolidated financial statements (e.g., Balance Sheet, Income Statement, Members’ Equity, Cash Flow, footnotes, etc.); final sign-off before external distribution remains with the VP.

  • Own portfolio-wide financial statement templates and checklist standards.

  • Identify and help implement process improvements across the financial statement close.

Specialty Areas

  • Own inter-entity mapping , intercompany transactions and equity, ensuring accuracy across the portfolio; Project Accountants provide direct support within their assigned entities.

  • Own the framework and execution for specialty technical accounting areas (e.g., ASC 606, ASC 842, HLBV, Intangibles, Inventory, etc.), which may evolve as the business grows.

  • Research technical accounting issues and monitor GAAP developments relevant to owned specialty areas.

Contract Review & Technical Memos

  • Independently review agreements (e.g., tax equity, offtake, debt, and similar documents) and draft the full technical accounting memo, including a proposed accounting position, for new deals and transactions as they arise.

  • Escalate final memo conclusions and any novel or precedent-setting treatment to the VP for sign-off.

Audit Support

  • Support management of the annual audit process, including PBC coordination, follow-up, timeline adherence, and related tasks.

  • Escalate open or unresolved technical accounting inquiries to the VP.

Perform other ad hoc duties as requested.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field required.

  • CPA required.

  • 5–8 years of relevant accounting experience.

  • Industry background in project-based accounting (construction, oil & gas; renewables/energy infrastructure preferred); prior industry experience required — not straight from public accounting.

  • Demonstrated ability to independently propose — not just document — an accounting position on a complex issue.

Key Attributes for Success

  • Eager to identify and provide solutions to complex accounting issues, and to bring ideas that improve processes.

  • Proficiency in Sage Intacct required; familiarity with Ramp, Expensify, and Corpay or similar platforms preferred.

  • Strong organizational and analytical skills, with a track record of successful process improvement.

  • Thrives in a fast-paced, evolving environment — brings resilience, full ownership of outcomes, and the ability to make sound decisions independently.

Perks and Benefits

  • Professional Development: Structured training, mentorship, and ongoing exposure to U.S. audit tools and practices.

  • Career Growth: Clear progression path from Associate to Senior roles, with performance-based evaluations.

  • Global Exposure: Collaborate with U.S. engagement teams and gain international experience in public accounting.

  • Work Flexibility: Remote setup with collaboration tools to stay connected and supported.
