Job description

CED Systems is a telecommunications company supporting nationwide 5G and in-building wireless deployments. We provide engineering and infrastructure services for DAS, small cells, and related network solutions, helping deliver reliable indoor connectivity across a wide range of environments.

As an In-Building RF Engineer, you will help shape wireless performance inside complex indoor spaces where coverage, capacity, and user experience matter most. This role focuses on in-building RF solutions that support LTE and 5G performance, with work centered on designing and improving systems that keep people and businesses connected across commercial and high-demand environments.

Responsibilities

  • Design in-building wireless systems for DAS deployments.
  • Coordinate with construction teams, vendors, technicians, deployment and integration teams, OEMs, carriers, project managers, and other stakeholders throughout project delivery.
  • Experience designing or supporting both passive and active DAS architectures.
  • Familiarity with carrier RF specifications and design compliance requirements, ideally within a T-Mobile or similar carrier program.
  • Proficiency reading and interpreting architectural floor plans and construction drawings.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to produce clear, carrier-ready design documentation.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Visio, Figma) and general design/documentation tools.

Qualifications

Required Experience:

RF Design & Engineering

  • Design in-building wireless systems including DAS (passive and active) and small cell solutions to meet coverage and capacity requirements.
  • Prior experience working with T-Mobile on in-building wireless or DAS projects.

Project Coordination & Documentation

  • Coordinate with construction teams, vendors, and technicians to ensure proper system deployment.
  • Collaborate with deployment and integration teams, OEMs, carriers, project managers, and other stakeholders.

Compliance & Safety

  • Ensure all work complies with regulatory requirements, carrier standards, and industry best practices.

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications, or a related field.
  • Holds an iBwave Level 3 Designer certification.

Preferred Experience

  • Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications, or a related field.
  • Experience working on multi-carrier in-building systems for major operators.
  • Experience in high-profile venues such as airports, stadiums, hospitals, and large commercial buildings.
  • Familiarity with public safety systems (ERRCS, FirstNet) and CBRS or private LTE networks.
  • Knowledge of OSHA and site-specific safety guidelines for construction and operational environments.
