Location: Hybrid - Toronto / Vancouver or remote if not within commuting distance of offices

Reporting to: Groups Sales & Reservations Manager

Job purpose

Our Groups Specialists channel their love of travel to advise and create customized travel experiences for all types of group travel. You will be joining a dedicated team of passionate travellers and sales experts.

What will be your key responsibilities?

• Draw on your proven sales performance to convert enquiries into unique group bookings, utilizing effective qualifying, follow up, and quote management processes.
• Ensure all bookings are processed with careful attention to detail, maintaining administrative tasks and all aspect of the proposal & quoting process through to travel.
• Communicate our products and dedication to service through email, telephone, online chat and video calls
• Proactively engage with travel agents and group leaders to monitor group growth, identify opportunities to increase participation, and provide sales support and strategies to help achieve the desired group size.
• Confidently present customized group itineraries to travel agents, group leaders, and prospective travellers, highlighting the unique experiences and value of each journey
• Develop long-lasting connections with your customers, creating referrals and repeat business.
• You will channel your immense love of travel and your personal experiences abroad to advise and create customized travel itineraries. Your carefully planned itineraries will include anything from a trip to the Australian outback, golf games on the link course in Victoria, a circumnavigation cruise of Iceland, a “foodie” tour in Italy or maybe a religious pilgrimage to Portugal all dependent on which region you represent
• Demonstrate and uphold Goway’s GLOBAL values in every customer interaction, team collaboration, and aspect of your daily work.

What are we looking for?

• Sales Experience. You have demonstrated experience working in a sales environment and have knowledge of the travel industry. You know how to anticipate desires and close sales.
• A Drive for Success. You have the attitude and tools necessary to accomplish tasks proactively and are motivated by goals and sales targets. You work well in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent Customer Service & Communication. You are adept at tailoring products to people’s specific needs and you understand that the relationship with the customer is paramount.
• You are organized, have excellent time management skills, and are able to multi-task and move through different areas of your job—including handling new enquiries, follow ups, and processing documentation.
• An Appetite for Knowledge. You are always hungry to learn more about the job and destinations you sell.
• A Technical Mind & GDS Experience. You work efficiently. You have Airline knowledge (preferable Amadeus) as well as an understanding of reservations systems.
• A Team Player. You understand that success is sweeter when it’s achieved alongside passionate individuals who share your values.
