About the Opportunity

We’re looking for a motivated and experienced Team Lead KYC EDD/ODD to oversee our Enhanced Due Diligence (EDD) and Ongoing Due Diligence (ODD) teams across French and Italian Markets.

This role is ideal for a hands-on leader with strong compliance expertise who’s passionate about developing people, optimizing processes, and ensuring regulatory excellence. You’ll play a key role in strengthening our KYC framework, driving operational performance, and ensuring the highest standards of quality and compliance across both markets.

Working closely with our KYC Leadership Team, you’ll ensure consistent execution of policies, continuous improvement of due diligence processes, and effective collaboration across departments and markets.

In This Role, You Will

  • Lead the EDD and ODD Teams: Manage and mentor specialists, ensuring strong performance, engagement, and development.
     
  • Ensure Compliance & Quality: Oversee high-risk case reviews, quality checks, and escalations to maintain full compliance with regulatory and internal standards.
  • Optimize Processes: Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and automation opportunities.
  • Collaborate Cross-Market: Work with other team leads and stakeholders to align on strategy, key priorities, and resource planning.
  • Drive Audit & Regulatory Readiness: Ensure documentation, procedures, and controls meet audit and regulatory expectations.
  • Support Vendor Collaboration: Partner with external providers to ensure consistent quality and timely completion of cases.
  • Contribute to Strategic Projects: Participate in cross-functional initiatives to scale operations and enhance customer experience.
  • Foster a Culture of Ownership: Promote accountability, collaboration, and innovation across the teams.
  • Forecasting and KPI/SLA management: Create forecasting plans to estimate the resource requirements to efficiently manage SLAs and KPIs

What You Need to Be Successful

Background:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Law, or a related field.
     
  • 5+ years of Proven experience in KYC, EDD/ODD, or Financial Crime Compliance.
     
  • Previous leadership experience in a regulated financial environment and across multiple geographies and/or functions.
     

Skills & Competencies:

  • Deep understanding of KYC and EDD/ODD frameworks, ideally within EU jurisdictions. Having French and Italian market experience is an added advantage.
  • Excellent leadership and people management skills with a focus on growth and performance.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a data-driven mindset.
  • Proficiency with tools such as JIRA, Confluence, Metabase, and Excel.
  • Excellent communication in English
  • Proficiency in Italian/French is a plus.
  • Ability to prioritize, collaborate, and drive results in a fast-paced environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage projects, drive change, and implement process improvements.
  • Ability to manage team performance through SLA and KPI management
