eLearning Developer(Open Call for Independent Contractors)We are seeking experienced Independent Contractors to provide eLearning Development services on a project-by-project basis. Contractors engaged through this opportunity will support the creation of high-quality digital learning experiences, transforming approved instructional designs, storyboards, scripts, and source materials into engaging, accessible, and technically sound learning solutions.
This opportunity is ideal for professionals with expertise in tools such as Articulate 360, Adobe Creative Suite, Vyond, and other multimedia technologies who enjoy building interactive learning assets that deliver measurable learner outcomes.
This is an ongoing open call for qualified contractors. While engagement is not guaranteed, candidates who meet our requirements may be contacted as project opportunities arise.
Important: This is
not an employment opportunity, full-time role, or salaried position. This opportunity is for
independent contractors providing services on an hourly or project basis. Compensation typically ranges from
$35-$45 CAD/USD per hour, depending on experience, expertise, and project requirements. Applicants must currently reside in Canada or the United States.
Scope of Services- Develop engaging eLearning experiences using approved instructional designs, storyboards, scripts, and visual standards.
- Build and configure courses using Articulate Storyline, Rise, Adobe Creative Suite, Vyond, After Effects, and related tools.
- Create interactive learning activities, software simulations, branching scenarios, assessments, videos, animations, and multimedia assets.
- Collaborate with instructional designers and project teams to translate design concepts into functional learning products.
- Implement accessibility requirements, learner experience considerations, branding standards, and technical specifications.
- Publish, test, troubleshoot, and maintain SCORM/xAPI-compliant learning solutions.
- Conduct quality assurance reviews and resolve functionality, media, LMS, accessibility, and learner experience issues.
- Incorporate stakeholder and user acceptance testing feedback efficiently and accurately.
- Manage multiple development assignments while meeting project timelines and quality expectations.
- Support development standards, templates, asset libraries, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Stay current on authoring tools, AI-enabled development tools, multimedia production techniques, and eLearning technologies.
Technical Skills & Competencies- Advanced proficiency with Articulate Storyline and Rise.
- Strong multimedia production capabilities, including graphics, animation, audio, and video editing.
- Experience creating complex interactions and custom learning experiences.
- Knowledge of SCORM, xAPI, LMS deployment, accessibility testing, and quality assurance practices.
- Ability to work from approved design documentation and transform concepts into polished learning products.
Contractor Availability Expectations- Contractors should have the capacity to support project work with a minimum availability of approximately 15 hours per week, subject to project requirements and mutual agreement.
- Client meetings, project discussions, and onboarding activities generally take place between 9:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. Eastern Time.
- Contractors should have sufficient flexibility to participate in required project-related meetings and onboarding activities during these times when engaged on an assignment.
- Work may otherwise be completed according to the contractor's preferred schedule, provided project timelines and deliverables are met.
