Job Description

The National Account Specialist (NAS) manages and grows a portfolio of national account clients, serving as a primary point of contact while supporting strong client relationships, operational execution, retention, and profitable growth.

This role is focused on a portfolio of smaller and developing national accounts and combines account management with a proactive business development mindset. The National Account Specialist works closely with clients to understand their business needs, identify opportunities to expand existing programs, and ensure consistent execution across client locations.

The NAS partners cross-functionally with Operations, Sales, Finance, Marketing, Billing & Collections, and other internal teams to resolve client needs, support account performance, and identify opportunities for continued growth.

This position reports to the Vice President of Operations – Central and may require travel up to 50% based on client and business needs.

This is a remote role that may be based in any of the below metropolitan areas:

Compensation Data

COMPENSATION: The Salaried rate for this position is $60,000.00 to $70,000.00. If both numbers are the same, that is the amount that Aramark expects to offer. This is Aramark’s good faith and reasonable estimate of the compensation for this position as of the time of posting.

Job Responsibilities

  • Serve as a primary point of contact for an assigned portfolio of national account clients, supporting strong day-to-day relationships and overall client satisfaction.
  • Develop and maintain proactive client relationships designed to strengthen retention, identify business needs, and uncover opportunities for account growth.
  • Manage account performance against client expectations, contractual requirements, service commitments, and established business objectives.
  • Support achievement of fiscal year portfolio objectives, including revenue growth, base business growth, retention, profitability, and other assigned financial metrics.
  • Identify and pursue opportunities to expand existing client relationships through additional locations, products, program enhancements, and Aramark service offerings.
  • Partner with Operations and local leadership to ensure consistent program execution and timely resolution of client service issues.
  • Support contract management activities, including renewals, extensions, pricing requirements, and adherence to contractual terms.
  • Execute portfolio pricing actions in alignment with client contractual terms and established business strategies.
  • Partner with Billing & Collections and Finance to support pricing accuracy, accounts receivable performance, and resolution of outstanding client balances.
  • Prepare for and participate in client business reviews, including development of presentation materials, operational reporting, financial information, account trends, and recommended actions.
  • Monitor account performance, client feedback, service trends, risks, and growth opportunities and coordinate appropriate action plans.
  • Support onboarding, rollout, and implementation activities for newly sold clients, locations, or services transitioning into the assigned portfolio.
  • Partner with Sales and National Account leadership on retention, growth, renewal, and other account development activities.
  • Coordinate introductions and meetings between client leadership and appropriate Aramark Operations and functional leaders to strengthen partnerships and resolve business needs.
  • Work cross-functionally with other Aramark lines of business to support clients utilizing multiple Aramark services and identify additional opportunities where appropriate.
  • Maintain accurate account information, client activity, opportunities, forecasts, and relevant documentation within Salesforce and other required systems.
  • Travel to client locations, Aramark operations, business reviews, implementations, and other business meetings as required, up to 50%.

  • Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent relevant experience.
  • 2–4 years of account management, sales, business development, customer relationship, or related experience preferred.
  • Experience managing client relationships within a B2B or contract-managed service environment preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to build strong client relationships and identify opportunities to grow existing business.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple accounts and priorities simultaneously.
  • Strong business acumen and working knowledge of revenue, profitability, pricing, accounts receivable, and other basic financial metrics.
  • Ability to analyze client needs, account performance, and market opportunities and recommend appropriate actions.
  • Ability to balance client expectations with Aramark's operational and financial objectives.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to identify and resolve operational and client-facing issues.
  • Ability to work effectively across Operations, Sales, Finance, and other functions within a matrixed organization.
  • Strong written, verbal, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
  • Experience developing and delivering client-facing presentations or business reviews preferred.
  • Proficiency with Salesforce or similar CRM platforms and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Ability to travel up to 50%.
