Job description

JOB SUMMARY

The Senior Analyst, Revenue Pricing Integrity & Governance serves as the primary financial bridge between commercial deal execution and revenue accounting, owning the day-to-day data modeling, custom contract tracking, and operational management of our pricing pipeline. By proactively auditing deal structures and navigating complex payer landscapes, this role systematically eliminates revenue leakage, drives transaction velocity, and safeguards gross margins while ensuring complete alignment with executive governance standards.

This role directly impacts the commercial sales teams by accelerating deal velocity, the finance department by insulating core accounting workflows, and the CEO/Executive Team by ensuring all contracts are perfectly vetted before final strategic sign-off. Success looks like a systematic reduction in revenue leakage, a measurable compression of deal review turnaround times, and the elimination of year-end revenue reversal risks through airtight pre-deal governance.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Operational Excellence: Manage the day-to-day lifecycle and transactional data modeling of the deal pricing pipeline to accelerate commercial contract turnaround times.

• Compliance & Risk Management: Audit proposed contract terms and custom rebate structures against ASC 606 standards to eliminate year-end revenue reversal risks.

• Financial Analysis: Construct rigorous financial sensitivity models for complex, tiered pricing proposals to guarantee realization of targeted gross margins.

• Reporting & Analysis: Track post-implementation deal performance against actual historical collection portfolios to optimize the accuracy of implicit price concession estimates.

• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Coordinate with commercial sales, billing, and accounting teams to map custom rates to compliant billing frameworks, systematically driving down insurance denial rates.

• Process Improvement: Develop standardized pricing templates and pre-deal governance tracking systems to scale commercial finance operations safely alongside company growth.

• Reporting & Analysis: Analyze monthly financial pricing trends and contract execution variances to support leadership and executive-level strategic decision-making.

• Ad-Hoc Support: Perform other duties as assigned to support team and organizational objectives.

• Regulatory Alignment: Comply with all company policies, procedures, and applicable regulatory requirements.

QUALIFICATIONS

Required

• Minimum Education: Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, economics, or a related quantitative field.

• Minimum Experience: 4–6 years of progressive experience in corporate finance, commercial finance, or revenue accounting.

• Specific Skills: Advanced financial modeling skills (expert-level Excel) with a proven ability to construct complex, multi-tiered pricing and sensitivity models. Strong working knowledge of revenue recognition standards (specifically US GAAP/ASC 606), contract governance, and tracking variable consideration or price concessions.

• Equivalent Consideration: An equivalent combination of advanced education and highly relevant professional experience may be considered.

Preferred:

• Preferred Education: Master of Business Administration (MBA) or Master of Science in Accounting/Finance.

• Preferred Experience: 3+ years of specialized experience within the healthcare, laboratory, or biotechnology sectors, with direct exposure to commercial insurance/Medicaid reimbursement landscapes and payer policy frameworks.

• Preferred License or Certification: Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Corporate Financial Analyst (CFA) designation.

COMPETENCIES

• Financial & Analytical Acumen: Advanced financial modeling skills, including expert-level proficiency in Microsoft Excel, pivot tables, data tables, and complex formulas (e.g., INDEX/MATCH, XLOOKUP, VLOOKUP).

• Regulatory & Accounting Compliance: Practical application of US GAAP, specifically ASC 606 revenue recognition frameworks, variable consideration rules, and contract control concepts.

• Cross-Functional Communication: Clear translation of complex accounting requirements, financial margins, and contract criteria to commercial sales teams and executive leadership.

• Project & Pipeline Management: Systematic tracking of time-sensitive deal pipelines, prioritizing concurrent contract reviews to drive deal velocity without compromising accuracy.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT

• Location: Remote

• Physical Demands: Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer. Daily use of standard office equipment and extensive keyboarding/data entry.

• Work Environment: No regular exposure to hazardous laboratory chemicals or clinical biological samples.

• Travel Requirements: Minimal travel required (0% to 10% for annual team meetings or corporate training).

• Special Conditions: None; standard corporate finance environment.
