Job description

CodaMetrix is revolutionizing Revenue Cycle Management with its AI-powered autonomous coding solution, a multi-specialty AI-platform that translates clinical information into accurate sets of medical codes. CodaMetrix’s autonomous coding drives efficiency under fee-for-service and value-based care models and supports improved patient care. We are passionate about getting physicians and healthcare providers away from the keyboard and back to clinical care.

Overview

The Account Director is a member of the Account Management team, owning a portfolio of client relationships and driving the adoption, retention, and growth of CodaMetrix's autonomous coding solutions. Senior Account Directors carry the same charter across a larger, higher-value portfolio, with added accountability for cross-team escalation outcomes and for developing the team.

We're looking for people who are proactive, not reactive — who surface the upsell, the risk, or the fix before a client has to ask. The strongest Account Directors are highly accountable: they treat a customer commitment as theirs to protect even when the root cause sits with another team, and they're comfortable navigating internal friction and managing customer expectations to reach the right outcome, not just the easy one.

Responsibilities — Account Director

Growth & Retention Strategy: Execute client-specific growth strategies to increase usage and adoption, and cultivate upsell/cross-sell opportunities within existing accounts.

Client Relationship Management: Build trusted-advisor relationships with key client stakeholders, expanding your footprint across each account in your portfolio.

AI-Driven Insights: Scale advanced analytics into insights that help clients make data-driven decisions and see the impact of our solutions.

Product & Solution Expansion: Partner with Product to drive adoption of new features and functionality, building and aligning the client adoption pipeline.

Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with Sales, Solutions, Implementation, and Product—including sales support, client transitions, and account planning—to drive customer outcomes. Own the result across the team: manage at-risk dependencies to the timeline and escalate internally before they become a customer problem.

Client Satisfaction & Retention: Monitor client health, proactively resolve issues, and run regular business reviews that reinforce value and alignment on goals.

Escalation Management: Manage the escalation process for issues in your accounts, driving quick resolution and maintaining strong relationships.

Feedback & Market Insight: Act as the client's voice internally to inform product development, and stay current on industry and competitive trends to advise clients.

Additional Responsibilities — Senior Account Director

In addition to the above:

Escalation Ownership (expanded scope): Proactively identify delivery risk before it reaches the customer, drive resolution across teams, and escalate to leadership when needed — accountable for the outcome, not just your contribution to it.

Team Development: Mentor the team and build shared best practices that scale growth and retention across the portfolio.

Deep Subject Matter Expertise: Develop and share expertise on industry and competitive trends to advise both clients and colleagues.

Requirements — Account Director

REQUIRED

• 5+ years in account management with a focus on strategic client relationships and revenue growth; 3+ years in healthcare.

• Strong analytical and critical-thinking skills, with the ability to present data and insights effectively.

• A track record of resolving risk before it reaches the client — including a willingness to navigate internal stakeholders and barriers, not just customer-facing ones, to get there.

• Comfortable in a fast-paced startup environment and working with remote teams.

PREFERRED

• Understanding of AI/ML technologies; prior startup experience.

Additional Requirements — Senior Account Director

• 8+ years in account management, including 5+ years in healthcare managing large accounts.

• Experience mentoring or managing other account managers/CSMs.

• Track record owning cross-functional escalations to resolution, including managing up to leadership.

Compensation

Account Director: $135,000-$180,000 total compensation package

Ranges vary by region; final salary considers skills, experience, and location.
