Freelance Clinical Facilitator - Diagnostic Radiographer About Health Academy Ltd

Role Overview
We are looking for experienced and enthusiastic HCPC-registered Diagnostic Radiographers to join our freelance team.
We are particularly interested in radiographers with experience of student supervision and clinical expertise in computed tomography (CT), magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) and general radiography.
We currently have two distinct freelance opportunities available. Applicants may express an interest in either or both areas.

Content Development and Review 
You will use your clinical expertise to develop or review high-quality course content and learning materials for healthcare students.
This may include producing accurate, engaging and evidence-based educational resources, ensuring that content reflects current clinical practice and is appropriate for the intended learners.

Virtual Student Placement Facilitation 

You will deliver engaging and interactive simulated learning sessions to students undertaking virtual placements. You will support students in developing their clinical knowledge and skills, provide constructive feedback and contribute to a positive and inclusive learning environment. You will also work with university partners and internal colleagues to help ensure that students receive an outstanding placement experience.

Requirements

Essential Requirements

  • Current HCPC registration as a Diagnostic RadiographerSubstantial experience working in a clinical setting, including experience of CT and MRI
  • Experience of supporting, supervising or teaching healthcare students
  • Excellent communication, presentation and interpersonal skills
  • Confidence using digital platforms and online learning tools
  • Strong IT skills, including proficiency in Google Workspace
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a wider team
  • Commitment to delivering high-quality education and supporting student learning
  • ​For content development work, the ability to produce clear, accurate and evidence-based written materials

Desirable Requirements

  • Experience of IV cannulation
  • Practice Educator training or qualification
  • Membership of the Society and College of Radiographers
  • Experience of developing or reviewing healthcare education materials
  • Experience of delivering teaching or training virtually
