Position: Certified Peer Recovery Specialist (CPRS) Location: Baltimore, Maryland Organization: Positive Generation in Christ, Inc. (PGIC)

Reports to: Clinical Director and CEO

About PGIC: PGIC is a non-profit organization dedicated to providing compassionate, client-centered care to individuals facing mental health and substance use challenges. We are committed to fostering an inclusive and diverse environment that empowers both our clients and staff.

Position Overview: We are seeking a Certified Peer Recovery Specialist (CPRS) to join our team. This role involves providing peer support to individuals navigating their recovery journey, utilizing lived experience to inspire hope and facilitate healing.

Key Responsibilities:

· Offer peer support based on personal recovery experience.

· Assist clients in accessing community resources and services.

· Support clients in developing and achieving personal recovery goals.

· Facilitate group and individual sessions to promote recovery and wellness.

· Document services provided in compliance with organizational and regulatory standards.

Qualifications:

· Certification: Must possess a current Maryland Certified Peer Recovery Specialist (CPRS) certification through the Maryland Addiction & Behavioral-Health Professionals Certification Board (MABPCB) at the time of hire.

· Experience: Minimum of 2 years of personal recovery in mental health or substance use.

· Education: High School Diploma or GED required.

· Skills: Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.

· Additional Requirements: Valid Maryland driver's license and reliable transportation.
