Position Overview

The Manager role within the Operations department is responsible for executing strategic goals for projects to align people, processes, and values so they support and further the organization’s mission. The role is responsible for the overall Operational Excellence and Business Solutions portfolio and program, providing leadership, coordination and management of the applicable functions. This role supervises the team that provides support functions, as well as provides leadership in carrying out organizational strategy. Working with related executives, directors, and managers, the manager develops actionable prioritized plans and empowers team members to reach the organization’s strategic goals; leading and scoping projects, improving processes, and managing resources and methods to reach those objectives. The manager is also responsible for identifying, driving, and operationalizing improvements into the culture of OCHIN in order to achieve high-quality, measurable, and sustainable results that support OCHIN’s strategic goals and objectives.

The Manager, Epic Install Analysts – Billing is responsible for leading Epic Install Analyst teams through the successful delivery of system build, configuration, testing, go-live readiness, and stabilization activities across a portfolio of member implementations. Operating under the direction of the Director, Epic Install Analysts, this role translates organizational strategy, standards, and implementation methodologies into consistent day-to-day execution.

The Manager is accountable for ensuring high-quality analyst deliverables, adherence to implementation standards, achievement of readiness milestones, and successful member outcomes. This leader proactively manages team capacity, performance, risks, dependencies, and quality measures while fostering a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and service excellence.

Working closely with Install Project Management, Training, Quality Assurance, Clinical Informatics, Maintenance, Revenue Cycle, and other operational teams, the Manager ensures implementations are delivered with a focus on member success, rapid stabilization, workflow adoption, and long-term operational performance. Success is measured through implementation quality, timeline performance, member satisfaction, stabilization outcomes, workforce effectiveness, and achievement of member KPIs.

Essential Duties

  • Lead Epic Install Analyst teams responsible for system build, configuration, testing, and implementation activities across assigned member portfolios.
  • Translate organizational implementation standards, methodologies, and strategic priorities into consistent operational execution.
  • Partner closely with Install Project Managers to ensure alignment of implementation scope, timelines, resources, dependencies, risks, and member expectations.
  • Ensure analyst deliverables meet established quality standards, implementation milestones, and readiness criteria.
  • Oversee build validation, testing activities, defect management, and issue resolution to support successful go-live outcomes.
  • Ensure adherence to implementation methodologies, governance processes, build standards, change control practices, and standard operating procedures.
  • Monitor implementation health, proactively identifying risks, barriers, resource constraints, and quality concerns, and escalating issues appropriately.
  • Drive achievement of implementation KPIs related to timeline performance, implementation quality, stabilization, member satisfaction, revenue cycle readiness, and clinical workflow adoption.
  • Lead analyst participation in go-live readiness assessments and ensure all technical deliverables are complete prior to implementation.
  • Support successful go-live events and rapid stabilization efforts, ensuring timely resolution of post-live issues and attainment of stabilization targets.
  • Monitor post-implementation performance and partner with leaders to identify opportunities for improved member outcomes and implementation practices.
  • Manage team capacity, resource allocation, workload balancing, and staffing plans to support current and future implementation demand.
  • Develop analyst capabilities through coaching, training, cross-training, mentoring, performance management, and career development activities.
  • Establish clear accountability for performance, productivity, quality, responsiveness, and compliance with organizational expectations.
  • Monitor team performance metrics and operational dashboards, using data to drive continuous improvement and informed decision-making.
  • Partner with cross-functional leaders across Training, Quality Assurance, Maintenance, Clinical Informatics, Development, Revenue Cycle, and Operational Services to ensure seamless implementation delivery and transition to ongoing support.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with members and internal stakeholders, serving as an escalation point for analyst-related implementation issues.
  • Support workforce planning initiatives, onboarding activities, succession planning, and talent development efforts within the Install Analyst organization.
  • Foster a high-performance, service-oriented culture focused on collaboration, ownership, continuous improvement, and member success.
  • Ensure organizational policies, regulatory requirements, security standards, and confidentiality requirements are consistently followed.
  • Provide regular reporting on implementation progress, resource utilization, risks, stabilization outcomes, and team performance.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • 6+ years of progressively professional experience in business service area, in a healthcare and/or IT setting required.
  • Minimum of three (3) years of supervisory experience or leadership roles required. Experience managing Epic Resolute Applications Analyst is also highly desired, as well as 5 years of experience leadership experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree in IT, healthcare, health informatics, related field, or equivalent experience; master’s degree preferred.
  • Certification in at least one of the following applications is required (more than one is preferred): Resolute PB, Resolute HB, PB Claims, HB Claims, SBO, Charge Router.
  • The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of experience as an Epic Resolute Applications Analyst, with experience in Epic implementation build.
  • Experience working with Epic in both inpatient and outpatient settings preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience leading Epic implementation activities, including build, testing, go-live readiness, stabilization, and post-implementation optimization.
  • Demonstrated experience managing implementation risks, dependencies, issues, and cross-functional coordination in complex healthcare environments.
  • Experience supporting implementation projects across ambulatory, acute care, community health center, tribal health, rural health, or integrated healthcare settings preferred.
  • Experience leading teams through multiple concurrent implementations while maintaining quality, timeline, and member satisfaction objectives.
  • Strong understanding of implementation methodologies, change control, testing practices, readiness assessments, and stabilization processes.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite.
  • Proficiency in Smartsheet or similar project management system preferred.
  • Ability to travel based on OCHIN's new member's business needs.

Work Location and Travel Requirements

OCHIN is a 100% remote organization with no physical corporate office location. Employees work remotely from home and many of our positions also support our member organizations on-site for new software installations. Nationwide travel is determined based on OCHIN business needs. Please inquire during the interview process about travel requirements for this position.

Base Pay Overview

OCHIN uses broadened pay ranges to support equitable and market-aligned compensation practices. The final offer will be based on a variety of factors, including relevant skills, certifications, education, experience, training, responsibilities, internal equity, and market data.
