About Our Family
We’re an active, health-conscious family of four based in the Sandhills area of North Carolina. Both parents work from home and periodically travel for work, and our two school-age boys have busy schedules filled with school, sports, and activities. We also have a three-year-old golden retriever and a leopard gecko who are very much part of the family. We value a home that feels organized, welcoming, and well cared for, along with healthy routines and time together as a family.
With two working parents, active kids, pets, and regular travel, there are a lot of moving pieces to keep coordinated. We’re looking for someone who can help carry the day-to-day rhythm of the household — from laundry, meal prep, errands, and home resets to school pickups, activity transportation, and keeping an eye on what’s coming up on the family calendar. Having someone who can step in, learn our routines, and thoughtfully stay ahead of what needs to happen will make a meaningful difference for our family.
We’re looking for someone who is warm, dependable, organized, and naturally proactive. You notice the little things, take notes, create systems where they’re helpful, and enjoy seeing a household run smoothly. Once you understand our routines and preferences, you’re comfortable taking ownership of your responsibilities and anticipating what comes next. Most importantly, you bring genuine care to the role and enjoy being a trusted, steady presence for the whole family — kids and pets included.
Who You Are
- Take initiative: You possess attention-to-detail and notice what needs to be done. You proactively handle tasks before you are asked.
- Anticipate needs: You look ahead at the family calendar, backwards-plan from what’s coming up, and stay one step ahead of the household.
- Stay organized: You maintain systems, keep notes, and bring structure to a busy environment.
- Communicate clearly: You follow up, track expenses accurately, and flag anything that needs attention.
- Engage warmly with kids: You’re comfortable with school-age children and know how to be a steady, trusted presence.
- Love dogs: You aren’t bothered by fur (there will be fur!).
- Embrace a healthy lifestyle: You’re comfortable preparing Whole30/Paleo-style meals and shopping with those principles in mind.
- Work independently: Once routines are established, you take ownership of them.
- Bring a positive, can-do energy: You’re adaptable, dependable, and happy to jump in where needed.
