Overview:

The Junior Business/Systems Analyst provides foundational business analysis support centered on data collection, cost tracking, and basic reporting for assigned Enterprise Agreements. Working under the guidance of Senior Analysts and Program Managers, this role supports the financial-analytics functions of the team by maintaining cost trackers, gathering financial data, and assisting with cost/benefit assessments.

Responsibilities:
  • Collect and compile data from cost estimators and cost-reporting portals to help update and maintain existing cost trackers.
  • Assist in preparing annual spend reports by gathering historical spend data and formatting it for trend analysis.
  • Support data collection efforts for budgeting, budget forecasting, and pricing analysis for current and future contract years.
  • Help monitor budget-versus-actual costs; identify potential discrepancies and gather supporting documentation for senior review.
  • Assist in compiling and classifying cost data across assigned EAs and platforms, including license, cloud credit, and professional service costs.
  • Support the reconciliation of cost data pulled from multiple, often inconsistent, sources (billing portals, licensing dashboards, financial systems) under the guidance of senior team members.
  • Maintain existing cost dashboards and assist in building standard reporting views using approved dashboarding and cost-reporting tools.
  • Help track cost, schedule, and performance data to be reported to EISO Program Managers.
  • Input data into cost-estimating tools to support senior analysts in producing cost/benefit assessments that weigh functional benefits, technical performance, and risk.
  • Summarize data findings and draft initial reports to support the strategic recommendations made by Senior Analysts and the Program Manager.
Qualifications:
  • Foundational knowledge with 3 years' experience in data analysis, IT cost tracking, budgeting, or financial reporting.
  • Advanced knowledge of and working experience with Excel.
  • Familiarity with (or strong ability to learn) data visualization and dashboarding/cost-reporting platforms (e.g., Power BI, Tableau), preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to compare, spot discrepancies, and help reconcile data from disparate reporting sources.
  • Interest in or basic exposure to enterprise IT hardware/software agreements (such as Microsoft, Oracle, or comparable) is a plus.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to assist in documenting business cases and variance reports clearly and accurately.

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, information systems or related discipline 

Clearance:

  • This position is subject to a government background investigation and must meet eligibility for a position designated with Tier 1 / Low Risk sensitivity

Location:

  • Remote, USA.

Pay Range:

  • The suggested pay for this position ranges from $62,546 to $70,875.
  • The actual salary offer will carefully consider a wide range of factors, including your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
  • Also, certain positions are eligible for additional forms of compensation, such as bonuses.
