Angkas

IT Services & IT Consulting

Our mission is to provide inclusive mobility for Filipinos using the versatility of motorcycles. Given the worsening traffic in major urban areas from the lagging infrastructure development in the country, Filipinos require more and better transport options, whether to transport themselves, or to have items delivered. We believe that motorcycles are low-cost, versatile, and most of all, already widely adopted for personal use and therefore an effective solution. They are currently underutilized though as a for-hire service, and it is our mission to increase their accessibility to more people.

Job description

Hey, mabuhay! πŸ‘‹

Thanks for dropping by. We know looking for the right job can feel like being stuck in EDSA traffic, so we’ll keep it moving and get straight to the point.

With over 8 million downloads and a powerful network of thousand of dedicated biker-partners, we are a leading ride-hailing platform operating across the Philippines. Our vision is to end poverty in the Philippines through revolutionary transportation solutions. We aim to provide our customers with convenient, reliable, and safe rides, impacting millions of lives positively every single day.

Now, we're looking for a Product Manager. As a Product Manager, you will play a crucial role in setting up the foundations in making this happen - from knowing who each user is and verifying they are legitimate, to getting new drivers and customers to their first trip faster, to protecting the platform from fraud, to giving our frontline CS, Fraud, and Ops teams the internal tooling they need to resolve issues at scale.

Responsibilities:

  • Own the User Trust and Platform roadmap end-to-end across identity, fraud, onboarding and activation, comms, support, and back office
  • Discovery and prioritisation: Continuously gather input from CS, Policy & Compliance, and Ops teams and rank work on impact versus effort, not on who escalates hardest. Every domain in this scope has a queue; your job is deciding which queue moves.
  • Own the trust and platform KPI framework: driver and customer activation rate, fraud loss as a percentage of GMV, support resolution time and CSAT, and Back Office workflow success rate.
  • Own identity and account integrity as a system: define how Angkas verifies who a user is at signup, how that verification is maintained, and how account state changes propagate across the driver and customer apps.
  • Own fraud detection and enforcement tooling: work with Fraud and Data to define detection signals, and own the back office surfaces that let frontline teams suspend, deactivate, and reinstate accounts quickly and with a full audit trail.
  • Own onboarding and activation funnels for both drivers and customers, instrumenting each step so that drop-off is measurable and time-to-first-trip and time-to-first-booking can be moved deliberately.
  • Own platform comms: define the transactional and N-way messaging that shapes users trust in the platform.
  • Drive cross-functional alignment to ship features that unblock frontline teams, treating CS, Policy & Compliance, and Ops as internal customers with defined service standards rather than an ad-hoc request queue.
  • Ensure compliance and traceability for every identity, account, and financial action taken through the platform, in coordination with Legal and the DPO, with particular attention to Data Privacy Act obligations on personal data.
  • Release management: Plan phased rollouts, define success criteria, and know when to pause/rollback based on early signals.
  • Ownership & accountability: Take end-to-end responsibility for outcomes, not just outputs.

πŸ“Œ Where And How You Can Work

Our Manila hub is the heart of our operations, keeping millions of commuters and riders connected across the metro. We don't believe in micromanaging your route. We trust our team to choose the balance that empowers them and their squad to crush their goals. Whether you’re collaborating onsite, working remotely from your favorite coffee shop, or doing a mix of both, we provide the flexibility; you bring the drive.⚑

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, Business, or a related field.
  • 3-5 years experience in Product Management or Technical PM, with 1-2 years owning technical or platform products rather than customer-facing features alone.
    • SQL, sufficient to independently query a data warehouse, validate a funnel, and check whether a metric moved. This is non-negotiable.
    • Working understanding of APIs, authentication and authorization flows, and how account state propagates across systems.
    • Analytics and product tooling: Amplitude, Looker, Tableau, Data Studio, or equivalent, plus experimentation.
    • Familiarity with fraud detection concepts - rules engines, risk scoring, false positive and false negative tradeoffs.
    • Familiarity with KYC and identity verification providers, and with document or biometric verification flows.
    • Solid understanding of UI/UX principles.
