Job description

Built on meritocracy, our unique company culture rewards self-starters and those who are committed to doing what is best for our customers.

Brown & Brown is seeking a Senior Account Executive, Private Equity to join our growing team!

This Senior Account Executive role sits within the Private Equity practice of Brown & Brown, operating under the specialized platform of Krauter & Company. As a leading full‑service international insurance and benefits brokerage, Krauter & Company has reimagined the traditional brokerage model to deliver a more strategic, consultative, and analytically driven approach to risk management. In this position, the broker plays a central role in supporting private equity clients and their portfolio companies throughout the investment lifecycle, navigating complex casualty exposures inherent to acquisitions, operations, and divestitures.

The individual will be responsible for structuring and negotiating casualty programs, fostering market relationships, and providing sophisticated guidance that aligns insurance solutions with clients’ transaction goals and long‑term risk strategies. Operating in a fast‑paced, deal‑oriented environment, this broker contributes to the delivery of innovative, best‑in‑class risk transfer strategies that reflect Krauter’s commitment to exceptional client service, technical expertise, and a deeply tailored approach to private equity risk management.

How You Will Contribute:

  • Craft innovative, tailored casualty solutions that address the complex risk profiles of private equity clients, while strengthening existing relationships and forging strategic new market partnerships.

  • Demonstrate deep expertise in loss‑sensitive programs, alternative risk transfer strategies, self‑insured retentions, and sophisticated captive structures.

  • Drive revenue growth by expanding opportunities within current accounts and actively contributing to the acquisition of new private equity clients and portfolio companies.

  • Lead and execute large‑scale projects and program placements, ensuring seamless coordination across internal and external stakeholders.

  • Initiate and guide forward‑thinking conversations around program performance, structural optimization, and long‑term design strategy.

  • Manage a robust book of business with a proactive, consultative approach, including hands‑on involvement in M&A risk assessments and due diligence initiatives.

  • Evaluate prospect and client operations to identify, quantify, and communicate exposures that influence program design and risk‑transfer decisions.

  • Apply advanced knowledge of policy language to craft manuscript endorsements and customized coverage solutions aligned with complex deal structures and industry‑specific risks.

Licenses & Certifications:

  •  Active Resident P&C License.

Skills & Experience to be Successful:

  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in insurance brokerage, preferably with exposure to private equity, M&A, or complex casualty programs.

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience.

  • Demonstrated success leading and collaborating with multiple teams to deliver high‑quality solutions on fast‑paced, client‑driven projects.
