Job description

Our client is looking for a high-level Tax Supervisor who wants to go beyond compliance and play a meaningful role in helping business owners—particularly those in the real estate industry—make smarter tax and financial decisions throughout the year.

This is an opportunity for a technically strong tax professional who is ready to expand their expertise into strategic tax advisory. You’ll work alongside a forward-thinking team focused on advanced tax minimization, entity structuring, and ongoing quarterly planning—helping clients proactively identify opportunities rather than simply reacting at tax time.

Our client is a fully remote, growth-minded accounting firm serving high-performing entrepreneurs nationwide. Their approach is built around strategy, long-term relationships, and measurable client impact.

If you’re looking for a role where your tax expertise can influence business decisions, your advisory skills can continue to grow, and you can develop alongside a firm that puts strategy at the center of everything it does, this could be your next career move.

Job Description

  • Execute strategy: Implement advanced techniques including cost segregation, 1031 exchanges, depreciation optimization, and real estate professional status.
  • Drive compliance: Review and prepare complex individual, partnership, and S Corporation returns to ensure flawless execution.
  • Support advisory: Participate in client planning kickoffs, quarterly advisory meetings, and ongoing entity structuring or compensation analysis.
  • Leadership: Mentor junior staff, review the work of staff and senior associates, and contribute innovative ideas to scale the firm’s advisory framework.

Requirements

  • Experience: 3 or more years of public accounting tax experience with a solid technical foundation in preparation and review of tax returns.
  • Credentials: Active CPA or EA designation is required.
  • Technical tax foundation: Strong working knowledge of pass-through business taxation and a distinct interest or exposure to sophisticated real estate taxation.
  • Client-facing: Comfortable participating in client-facing strategic conversations alongside leadership, paired with an eye for the bigger picture.

Benefits

Why Join?

  • Shape the Future: Get in on the ground floor of a high-growth firm. Your ideas will directly drive success and build the company's foundation—without getting buried in red tape.
  • Work on Your Terms: Life happens outside the 9-to-5. Enjoy true schedule flexibility, whether you need to adjust for family time or prefer to burn the midnight oil.

Benefits:

  • Compensation: $95,000 to $125,000 base salary (based on experience), performance-based bonuses, and a 401(k) with company match.
  • Firm culture: Permanent 100% remote structure with absolutely no timesheets.
  • Professional Development: Full continuing education and CPA support, mentorship, and a clear growth path toward Tax Manager
