Job description

Our Story

TopDog Law is not your typical law firm. We're a nationally scaling personal injury firm built for impact and growth — owning the client experience end-to-end, from marketing and intake through litigation. We believe that world-class marketing, paired with exceptional legal talent and operations, creates better experiences and outcomes for clients and the business alike.

Over the past three years, we've grown 2–3x year over year, setting a new standard on the marketing side of the personal injury space and proving what's possible when strategy, speed, and execution align. Now we're applying that same discipline and innovation to firm operations, case management, and national scale — intentionally building the infrastructure, systems, and teams to grow without sacrificing quality, culture, or accountability.

We are a fully remote team that share trust, open communication, and a commitment to doing great work. If you love ownership, thrive in a fast-moving environment, and want to help build something exceptional, you'll feel right at home here.

The Opportunity

As TopDog Law scales its state-centric litigation pods nationally, we need an experienced Litigation Attorney to own a Tennessee litigation docket from filing through resolution. This role is critical to maintaining case velocity and settlement quality as our Tennessee litigation team grows, ensuring every matter on their docket is litigation-ready, every deadline is met, and every client gets an outcome that reflects real advocacy, not just volume. You'll be a key contributor to our Tennessee litigation bench as we invest in state-level ownership and accountability.

What You Will Own

  • Manage an assigned docket of Tennessee personal injury litigation matters from filing through trial or settlement
  • Develop and execute litigation strategy on each file, including discovery, motion practice, depositions, and mediation/trial prep
  • Partner with pre-litigation attorneys and paralegals to ensure smooth, well-documented handoffs into litigation
  • Evaluate case value and negotiate settlements with a strong understanding of Tennessee carrier behavior and liability standards
  • Direct case strategy in partnership with paralegal support handling procedural compliance, filings, and deadline tracking
  • Provide clear, timely case status updates and collaborate with firm leadership on caseload and pod performance
  • Identify strategic or file-quality gaps and help refine Tennessee litigation workflows as the team scales

What You Bring

Required:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school
  • Active admission to the Tennessee Bar
  • 5 - 10 years of experience in Personal Injury law
  • Strong communication, negotiation, research, and writing skills
  • Ability to manage a robust case load independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
  • Knowledge of Tennessee laws, regulations, and procedures required
  • Must be located in or near the State of Tennessee
  • Strong communication skills—written and verbal
  • Ability to think critically, prioritize effectively, and execute with speed

Preferred (Nice to Have):

  • Active Admission to one or more districts of Tennessee Federal Court
  • Experience in a fast-growing or high-volume environment
  • Comfort with ambiguity and evolving systems
  • Experience in legal, professional services, or client-centric organizations

  • Fast & Hungry: You move with urgency, thrive under high expectations, and are motivated by growth and impact.

What We Offer
