Job description

Grandstand (Nasdaq: GRSD) is the intelligence layer of sports, gaming and entertainment. We build the brands people trust, the data our partners depend on, and the technology this industry runs on with exceptional people, not shortcuts.

OpticOdds delivers enterprise-grade data infrastructure to B2B partners worldwide, while OddsJam and RotoWire put that same real-time intelligence directly into the hands of consumers.  On the gaming and entertainment side, our portfolio includes some of the biggest names in the space: Gambling.com, Casinos.com, Spotlight.Vegas, and WhichBingo.co.uk. Our flagship sites reach millions of consumers every month.

We're the first, and only, U.S. publicly traded company of our kind, and the first company to win EGR's Affiliate of the Year three times. We hold every hire to the same five standards: Taste, Agency, Speed, Craft, Responsibility.

What You'll Do

  • Ensure compliance with local tax laws, labour regulations, and reporting requirements across every jurisdiction we operate in
  • Coordinate and maintain relationships with our outsourced payroll service providers across Europe
  • Review and audit provider performance to ensure accuracy and alignment with Grandstand's standards
  • Partner with service providers and the Finance team to resolve payroll-related issues and escalations quickly
  • Lead efforts to streamline data collection, input, and reporting across the payroll function
  • Ensure timely and accurate payroll tax filings and submissions
  • Coordinate with Finance and Legal teams to address compliance matters as they arise
  • Be the go-to person for employee inquiries related to payroll, taxes, and deductions, offering clear guidance and support
  • Work with cross-functional teams to identify and implement payroll process improvements
  • Prepare and present payroll-related data for management reporting and audit purposes
  • Liaise with HR on benefits where payroll is impacted
  • Use AI-enabled tools to enhance analysis, reporting, and process efficiency — while maintaining accuracy, compliance, and data protection standards
  • Support special projects as assigned by management

What We're Looking For

✅ Must-Have

  • Prior experience in a payroll coordinator, specialist, or administrator role, ideally with exposure to European/multi-country payroll
  • Experience managing or coordinating with outsourced payroll providers or bureaus — not just processing payroll in-house
  • Solid working knowledge of PAYE, tax compliance, and labour regulations in at least one European jurisdiction
  • Comfortable working cross-functionally with Finance, Legal, and HR
  • Strong attention to detail and a high bar for accuracy when handling sensitive employee data
  • Available to start within a short timeframe given the contract nature of the role
  • Comfortable using AI tools to enhance productivity, reporting, and day-to-day efficiency

⭐ Nice-to-Have

  • IPASS qualification (Certificate in Payroll Techniques or above)
  • Experience with payroll systems such as UKG, Symplify, or similar HRIS/payroll platforms
  • Prior experience in a fast-scaling or multi-entity organisation

Perks & Benefits

  • Comprehensive private Healthcare Insurance
  • Flexible work environment and home office available
  • Home office allowance
  • Gym & Leisure Allowance
  • All the hardware and software you need to be successful
  • Regular company events and social outings, activities, Spot Awards and a Monthly Social Club
  • Access to courses for Personal and Career Development
  • Company Paid Volunteer Day
