Payroll Specialist

As a Payroll Specialist at Superhost Hospitality, you will play a crucial role in ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing for our dedicated team. 

Your responsibilities include:

• Managing end-to-end payroll processing, including data entry, calculations, validations, and reconciliations.
• Ensuring payroll tax compliance and staying current on federal, state, and local tax law and regulatory updates that may impact payroll.
• Managing employee garnishments, levies, child support orders, and other court- or agency-mandated deductions.
• Ensuring compliance with applicable federal, state, and local payroll laws and regulations.
• Resolving payroll discrepancies and addressing employee payroll-related inquiries.
• Collaborating with HR to ensure accurate employee data and changes are reflected in payroll systems.
• Preparing and analyzing payroll reports for management and accounting purposes.
• Assisting with employee benefits administration, including enrollments, changes, and related employee questions.
• Assisting with Affordable Care Act (ACA) compliance, reporting, and related documentation.
• Supporting audits, payroll reconciliations, and other compliance-related activities as needed.
• Keeping abreast of changes in payroll, benefits, tax, and employment regulations and adjusting processes accordingly.
• Assisting with other payroll, benefits, compliance, and administrative responsibilities as assigned.

What We're Looking For:

We are seeking an individual with the following attributes:

• Previous experience as a payroll specialist or in a similar role.
• Strong understanding of payroll processes, tax regulations, and compliance.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry.
• Proficiency in payroll software and Microsoft Excel.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.

Additional Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field.
• Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) designation is a plus.
• Knowledge of payroll best practices and industry trends.
